immigration isnt a problem its the lack of these so called immigrants staying put in a safe country they only want to come to the uk for benefits,we have made ourselves a target. the only good thing to come from the pound falling so much is it may make some of these immigrants stay in europe

Immigration works a treat for me. I feel well lucky living here in Australia for 12 years. Not a single day on the dole as there is work here for those who really want it. Most immigrants here are really hard workers.

In fact, some builders only hire Kiwi and British labourers are we work harder than many of the Aussies

I came in here to post this, my ancestors like many in this great city came over from Ireland. They were faced with racism and told to go back home by the locals back then too. Ireland at the time was like a third world country (mainly due to the famine enforced by the Brits) poverty was rife.

Can't say too much but I work for a govt dept and there has been a massive shift in policy away from multiculturalism. There will be a lag but immigrants who are licky enough to be given leave to remain will now be expected to assimilate. So it is now down to the indigenous population to accept them in order for immigration to work.

Well, where do I start. I've worked and lived In Cairo, Egypt (18 months) during when the revolutions were taking place. Ive also worked in Casablanca, Morocco, only for 6 weeks. I've also worked in Kampala, Uganda (3 Months, I rented an apartment) and visited S Africa on two occasions, the first time in 83 when Nelson Mandela was still in prison and when Apartheid was the law! That by the way that was real racism at work). People of North African origin have a complete different mentality to our own, There are parts of North Africa that are well built and have great shopping malls and are well developed and other parts that are slums, dirty and where there is extreme poverty. Most North Africans are extremely poor, but nothing compared to deepest parts of central and west Africa! What's your point?

Under the current climate with a high terrorism threat and also cultural sensitivities, we have to be very very careful of who and who we do not allow into this country. Sweden is a current example of the consequences of allowing in anyone. Germany is in turmoil, France has huge huge problems, so much so, that their intelligence services have lost control monitoring the sheer numbers of potential Jihadists - and this number is well over 9,000 and growing at an alarming rate. The failure of governments to listen to its people on immigration is now leading to the rise of Far Right organisations throughout Europe. Greece, Italy, Germany, Austria, Hungary, etc - and now even Sweden! Austria are close to electing the first Far Right government since WW2 - unbelievable but true.
Much of the problems in Europe is being played down or not reported at all by the media, reports of hundreds of burning cars and nightly rioting in Sweden recently was blanked by our own media. The whole immigration experiment is blowing up in the left-wing faces and they're doing their utmost to play everything down. I believe this won't end well and it's just a matter of time now before an eventual civil war breaks out. Thats my gut feeling.

Well, where do I start. I've worked and lived In Cairo, Egypt (18 months) during when the revolutions were taking place. Ive also worked in Casablanca, Morocco, only for 6 weeks. I've also worked in Kampala, Uganda (3 Months, I rented an apartment) and visited S Africa on two occasions, the first time in 83 when Nelson Mandela was still in prison and when Apartheid was the law! That by the way that was real racism at work). People of North African origin have a complete different mentality to our own, There are parts of North Africa that are well built and have great shopping malls and are well developed and other parts that are slums, dirty and where there is extreme poverty. Most North Africans are extremely poor, but nothing compared to deepest parts of central and west Africa! What's your point?

Under the current climate with a high terrorism threat and also cultural sensitivities, we have to be very very careful of who and who we do not allow into this country. Sweden is a current example of the consequences of allowing in anyone. Germany is in turmoil, France has huge huge problems, so much so, that their intelligence services have lost control monitoring the sheer numbers of potential Jihadists - and this number is well over 9,000 and growing at an alarming rate. The failure of governments to listen to its people on immigration is now leading to the rise of Far Right organisations throughout Europe. Greece, Italy, Germany, Austria, Hungary, etc - and now even Sweden! Austria are close to electing the first Far Right government since WW2 - unbelievable but true.
Much of the problems in Europe is being played down or not reported at all by the media, reports of hundreds of burning cars and nightly rioting in Sweden recently was blanked by our own media. The whole immigration experiment is blowing up in the left-wing faces and they're doing their utmost to play everything down. I believe this won't end well and it's just a matter of time now before an eventual civil war breaks out. Thats my gut feeling.

My wife works at a school as a teaching assistant and several months ago in class, the teacher mentioned the colour black, I believe it was to do with a pen or something trivial, only for all hell to break loose, several kids shouted that's a racist word and many joined in chanting racist racist. Do you know what the teacher did - nothing!!! He simply chose not to explain and put the kids right, so he ignored the chants and carried on. My wife sat there in disbelief!! This is just the tip of the iceberg with the stories I hear from my misses. Our Schools are unbalanced and heavily weighted to following a left-wing marxist agenda and just look what they're turning out. Kids that by and large take offence and cannot cope with being criticised in any shape or form - a snowflake generation!

Don't be sorry, I don't take offence very easily - I'm old school and say it as it is My personal and honest opinion regarding your question: Do you consider economic immigrants from North Africa to be undesirable? Is Yes I do. For several reasons; 1) the majority are not fleeing war. 2) Migrants are not background checked for criminal records and this is a BIG issue for me.
3) Many will never ever contribute to our economy leading to a spiralling cost to the overstretched taxpayer. 4) Due to cultural differences most won't ever integrate - we already have a problem in this department and certainly don't need to add to it.
5) The respect for women in this part of the world is pretty close to zero and being a liberal democracy which prides itself on womens rights we are failing. We are accepting and turning a blind eye because of cultural differences ( mainly to keep the peace) and politically correct cowardice is adding to the problem fuelling a rise in the practise of genital mutilation and so called honour killings. I could go on but you've heard enough from me. I class myself well travelled, I've worked in Asia and elsewhere for the biggest part of 20 years. I have experience at first hand working in N Africa and the Middle East. I don't profess to have all the answers, but the one thing I do know is; If you put your hand in the fire - don't expect not to get burnt! Over and out!

It is easy to be a caring Liberal and spill crocodile tears for migrants when it is not you how are impacted the most by mass immigration. Nothing will change about immigration until it starts to reach the leafy suburbs and county shires where most of our politicians and bleeding hearts live.

There is deep resentment building up in this country (as seen in the BREXIT vote) because the working class are pissed off with being the ones who pay the price of immigration year on year. No the NHS employs a number of foreign Doctors/Nurses/Staff who come here using legal controlled immigration. Those who come here in the back of Lorries should be sent straight back to the last safe country they came from; 90% of the time France. Instead of the tail wagging the dog we should control our boarders and WE should dictate who comes here and not leave it to rewarding those who win the race to get here first.

Exactly. Without immigration this country will be fucked, with continued uncontrolled immigration this country will be fucked. Finally our politicians are waking up to this and that they need to strike a balance in between.
