Nottingham Forest will regret not appointing Neil Warnock in the summer, according to pundit Michael Gray.
The former Sunderland and England defender feels Cardiff boss Warnock should have got the nod ahead of Philippe Montanier given his experience in the Championship.
Appearing on Channel 5's highlights show, Gray said Forest would "100 percent" regret the decision.
"He does the magic in the Championship and he's done it for many, many years. Cardiff have got a real coup," he added.
Warnock was spoken to by the Nottingham Forest owner about the vacant managers job,but decided to go for Philippe Montainer.
