Life-long West Ham United fan and author Bill Gardner is currently in hospital after being taken ill.
The 62-year-old, who has followed the club around the country - and further afield - for more than 40 years was admitted to his local infirmary after enjoying West Ham's first away win of the season at Selhurst Park last weekend.
According to reports from friends, Bill will remain in hospital for the next few days but is hoping to be out in time to watch the Hammers tackle Chelsea in the EFL Cup next week.
