The Nottingham Forest owner Fawa Al Hasawi has allegedly made the claims on TV in the middle east

Nottingham Forest chairman and owner Fawa Al Hasawi has been accused of suggesting all British managers are corrupt.

According to the Sun , the Kuwaiti businessman claimed British bosses "take under the table a lot" and are "brokers".

The allegations were captured live on a Kuwait TV station in an interview with Al Hasawi.

He appeared to be aware that his comments may cause controversy, he said: "Problem is we are on TV and everybody can see us and translate what I am saying."

The Al Hawasi accusations have come to light this week, but were originally broadcast on March 22.

Following their draw with Sheffield Wednesday on Wednesday night, Cardiff travel to Nottingham on Saturday with four points from their first two matches under new boss Neil Warnock.

Meanwhile, Forest fell to a 2-1 defeat in midweek and have won just one of the their last eight matches.

The club had attracted some unwanted headlines in the Guardian during the week, including a suggestion that a revolt from the players was narrowly avoided after they were paid late following the last international break.

However, speaking yesterday, Forest captain Chris Cohen insisted their was never any suggestion of going on strike but concede there has been a 'small issue' over the payment of players' wages.

When asked if a strike was ever a possibility, Cohen said: "No, never at all."

"The first of October is when we got paid and there was a few issues with people not getting paid the right bonuses and stuff like that. There was a bit of a mix-up with people being on holiday, whatever the reasons were."

Forest will now looking to put their off field issues behind them and prepare for the televised Cardiff City clash this weekend.

Neil Warnocks Reply today on Forest owners comments.

"The owner’s alright, he means well. They’ve invested a lot of money, the fans are good. I was at Notts County when Cloughie was over the water, they didn’t like British managers then either! It’s a great place to go, with your away fans opposite the dugout."

I don't have any evidence but sometimes you wonder if some of these managers are on take because otherwise they must be criminally negligent when you think of some signings and the contracts which are handed out to not very good players?

On a side note reading this, I wonder if Warnock has an opinion on the away fans location in our ground.
