Sounds very plausible. The whole point of fitness training for footballers is to get them fit for 90 minutes on match day. Plus the 7 and 5 minutes injury time, (or whatever it's called now), that we have had in our last two games. Other than that, it's all about ball work and tactics.

It's about progressing fitness up to Christmas, and then maintaining it the best you can throughout the season.. it's not possible to start the campaign fit as as fiddle, and remain that way.. it will peak several times, and the trick is not to dip to much. Not an easy task when you have twenty plus individuals.

I can see what you mean,I attended a norweigian premier league game this season between Alesund & Brann whilst visiting family out there, the standart isn't too far below from championship level and there was no fitness issue there
