' Junior Hoilett Tonight '

Junior Hoilett arrived in Cardiff as a player whose reputation had taken a bit of a battering.

Having flattered to deceive when picked and at times not even in the QPR first team picture, he didn't seem like the kind of player perfect for a Championship relegation fight.

Hoilett was impressive
His performance tonight, while not dazzling, showed that he can help pull the Bluebirds up the table quickly.

In the first half there was a brilliant surge into the box, beating two Wednesday defenders before being unlucky to see his shot blocked. Early in the second he fought his way into the box and forced a smart save from Dawson.

Most impressively, his defensive discipline was excellent, often playing as left-back when Cardiff sat deep.

That selflessness is impressing.

Really impressed and will only get better, what impressed me most was his discipline in keeping the shape. He will get more opportunities to work his magic as the team progress and certainly against weaker opposition.

I sponsored his shirt this week so hope he keeps progressing.

Great performance from him tonight, particularly when the midfield was poor, Gunnarsson apart.

I thought he was great. Just needs the guys around him to switch on to what he is doing but that will come. He is 100%. Up and down his flank all night and looks happy taking players on, often 2 or 3 at a time. We havent had that for so long! Great to see!!

Him and Bennett seem to have a good understanding together

he has made a very positive start. the problem is, the better he does, the less likely he will be here next season.

however, we cannot complain. he should be at a much bigger club than ours if we are realistic. if he continues to play like this for the rest of the season we would still easily get our moneys worth.
