My View/Opinion

GREAT FIRST HALF/BUT I HAVE TO SAY BY THE END OF THE GAME CARDIFF LOOKED MORE THAN HAPPY TO TAKE A POINT.

First half Cardiff City desevedly went in one nil up against a quality Wednesday side and City don't half look such a different team than when Trollope or Slade were in charge.

City looked tired in the Second-half and Wednesday took total control and by the end City looked more than happy to get a draw.

But 4pts from 6pts great start by Warnock :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Cardiff remain in the bottom three.

CARDIFF CITY 1 SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY 1

Crowd 15,887
Away support over 1,000 Wednesday fans.

Team Amos, Peltier, Morrison, Bennett, Bamba, Whittingham, Ralls, Gunnarsson, Noone, Hoilett & Lambert.
Subs: Wilson, Connolly, O'Keefe, Richardson, Harris, Pilkington, Chamakh.

Cardiff City and the City fans went in to this game on a high after beating Bristol City home in the last game and the good news was Neil warnock was able to start this game with an unchanged side :thumbright: :thumb right:

Great start by City, Whittingham free kick after 8 mins and 1-0 City :bluebird: :bluebird:
City never rested and continually went forward :bluebird:

Just before half-time Morrison had a header cleared of the Wednesday line.

City deservedly went in one nil up :ayatollah:

Half-time CCFC 1 Sheff Wd 0 :ayatollah:

Wednesday came straight out attacking City and for five solid minutes controlled the game and eventually it paid of 1-1

Wednesday then took total control.

City made two subs in 62nd min Pilkington and Chamakh came on and Noone /Lambert went off.

City goalie Ben Amos pulled of three good saves in the second half.

Wednesday were by far the better team in the second-half.

Have to say, Cardiff were a team happy to take a point here.

City nearly won it with a Holiett overhead kick, but off side in the 93rd minute, against the run of play.

Full-time CARDIFF CITY 1 SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY 1

Tough second half, but difference to 3 weeks ago is we would've lost that game at the death, not come away with a point. Progress already.

Ralls continues to be our weak link. What a player he could be if he started attacking more. Slade and Trollope's coaches have ruined him.

Whitt's ran himself into the ground again tonight, fair play to him.

I Totally agree 3 weeks ago we would of lost 4 nil.

Ralls has gone backwards.

Whites played well :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

We are improving :thumbright: :thumbright:

Agree with that. He needed to get further forward to support Lambert who was totally isolated in the first half.
Whitts oozed class in the first half. I would like to see O'Keef replace Ralls on Saturday.

4 points against two good teams that would have murdered us s few weeks ago, first job was make us competitive and organised which he has done. Walk before you can run. Well happy.

Happy with a draw since the owls are not exactly a bad team
A good few mistakes but again bamba rescued.. I noticed on the line bamba was getting all the instructions and morrison wasn't getting much peltier was continuously told to stay on 45 as noone wasn't helping out to much

Alot of battling going again but a fitness struggle towards the end

Wednesday were much much better than we were and really they were the only team that looked like actually winning the game.

Some poor performances again tonight - Ralls ineffective, Whitts anonymous after the goal and Morrison has become infected with the virus that seems to have turned all our centre halfs this season (except Bamba) into mistake ridden chumps.

BUT.....we still got a point and in the grand scheme of things and our objective for this season (avoiding relegation) has to be seen as a positive.

Four points in two games from where we were before Warnock arrived is a very decent return.

I listened to the game on the radio in work, Nathan Blake said said we were desperately lacking fitness compared to Wednesday in the second half.

A few weeks ago we couldn't compete with Burton, tonight played well first Half and pressed them and yes we did run out of a little gas second half against a very good team but limited the chances and could have even nicked it. Progress.

First half Wednesday completely destroyed the flow of our game with their stop/start and slow play.
Second half, they dragged us left and right which completely wore us out.

Point gained and progress still being made.

Feels great being a Bluebird again!!!

Lambert looks a good player still but needs some one with him, same for Cham. They are used to linking up with people, but when going forward they dont have much support around them so what can they really do?

It looks like we are more solid and organised, now we need to work on how to build up the play.

All the possesion Sheff had they did f**k all really with it, we made it really hard for them. Couple of lucky bounces and a clever backheal they nearly go through.

I was saying we would have lost 5-0 four weeks ago! Also, it's been difficult to judge the strength of the opposition this season as we have been so poor, but Sheffield Wednesday look a very good side and it was very encouraging that we remained competitive throughout the game. Onwards and upwards!

David, City could of gone 2 nil in at half-time and for me deserved the one nil lead.
Second half,Wednesday totally dictated the game and got a goal back.
Amos made three good saves second half :ayatollah:
I will settle for the draw and City were happy to as well :thumbright: :ayatollah:

Wednesday are a good side.
