Its going to be tough to get us well away from the bottom three, Without Warnock I would say we were well doomed, but in Warnock we believe

He's got a mountain to climb, after the previous incumbents made history and gave Cardiff city its worse ever start to a season.hope. The stats are wrong but I read from the position we are in now there's only a 17% chance of staying up.

This really is a 6 pointer. After tonight we could be 6 or 12 points off the play offs.

We can all take comfort in two facts.
He saved Rotheram who were in a worse position than us at the wrong time of the season.
He has generally better players here than he did at Rotheram.

Like I kept saying with trollope nailed on relegation. The bottom sides have always been capable and you seen that last night, it will take time to pull clear but we will do. The fact a win puts us 6 points off play offs says it all. Shef weds are decent but they do blow hot and cold away from home. More than capable Under warnock

I fancy us tonight and maybe a draw at forest will see us on 15 and looking upwards. It'll take time but we'll be out of trouble in a month or so imo.

It just shows the pressure , if we win we will be one of five teams on 14 points. If we lose there's a gap forming , even a draw will keep us in the bottom 3.
I think this evening the team really needs our support , no booing and get behind them . Its going to be a long hard season.

Goes to show the foolishness in those that stated we can make the play offs!

I'm not sure about those people exhibiting "foolishness", over optimistic maybe.
We have to get away from the bottom first but we're actually only 9 points off the play-off places with a game in hand and 99 points still to play for so far from impossible.
Personally I think it's a step too far but teams have come from much further behind on points than this in the Championship. I don't think we've got the players to do it but let's hope I'm wrong !!

Of course it's a step too far.
Optimism is fine, as City fans you have to be optimistic, but regarding the play offs I'm more realistic. Some on here think because it's nine points it's easy but other teams win as well.
But hey, let's hope we're both wrong!

I don't expect a promotion push so soon, takes time to build a team but it wouldn't be the craziest thing that's ever happened. The championship remains a shadow of previous years, a big squad that is organised and fit with a sprinkle of class more than capable. Look at us last year!! Nearly made it with Slade and no striker.

win tonight and only 6 points off playoffs

i think we must remember the sides that are down there with us at the moment are not going to be there long i hope that with the likes of villa and derby we will start moving up the table now it's not going to be easy but we will be ok

I wouldn't call myself foolish for believing the city can still make the top 6.And if we do it won't be the biggest achievement in the history of this division(remember Reading a few seasons back). It would be,however, foolish to write any side off at this stage of the season.

Isn't all 'hope' in someway foolishness.
I'd rather be a hopeful fool with Warnock in charge than a realistic pessimist with Trollope and the previous few manager here.
Long long way to go but enough points to aim for to get us moving up the table.'
At least now the fans are fully behind the team and manager. I have not really seen this for years. Even Malky had his critics and even most of those who supported him and the team still had reservations about the direction our club was heading with the rebrand and all that crap.
Trying to get out of the relegation zone and fixing the problems of the previous managers (and clubs bad decisions) is like heaven compared with what has gone on before and I include our year in the premier league, which I enjoyed about as much as vinegar in my eyes.

Personally, I think it's too late to climb up the table to make the play offs. But I certainly think we'll be able to make top 10.
Which would be a remarkable turn around and a decent end to the season considering our shocking start.

Foolish? I'm not saying we will do it but we are only 6 points off the playoffs if we win tonight. It's a very very tight league. Didn't Reading go up after McDermott took over when they were in the relegation zone?

I've got a small bet on my team Cardiff city to go up via the playoffs so I guess that makes me a fool like all those fools from Leicester city bet on them to win the premier league

Isn't that 6 points providing all the other teams loose?

Yes but we have to win first and all the other teams around us have to lose on a normal Saturday.
Happy with the point though.
