Just cancelled Sky Broadband and gone to BT

I cancelled mine was paying 108 a month coz I'm moving house put the new account in the Mrs name and got 50% of full package sky q ,free fibre broadband including line rental only 47 pound a month for 12 months

From personal experience, I'm not sure that BT customer service is any better. I agree that to get the best deals from Sky you have to keep calling them every few months to get a reduced rate which is just annoying. Sky Q mind is excellent.

cancelled mine after being with them for 7 years after realising my bill had risen to £141 a month for the package. rang them they offered me 10% then 20% discount so I told them to do one and gave them my notice.. three days before my accountant was due to end they text me a number to call to discuss my account and offered me £38 A MONTH ALL IN. Just goes to show what they are making off us but I cant live without Sky lol.

Loosely related to this but I am ditching sky in January when my contract runs out, I am going to switch to BT and have my dads sky go account on my iPad to fill any voids e.g. Sky Atlantic. Quick question, does any body have chromecast, and if so does this allowing streaming of an iPad sky go content to a Samsung smart tv. Thanks. How does BT TV package generally compare to sky, i cannot justify a 120 a month bill vs bt including BT SPORTS, Netflix and their HD and multiroom services for around 65 (with phone and fibre also).

Do not know much about the chromecast, but on the firestick you can download modbro,which includes all sky channels inc sky atlantic

Also cancelled sky after about 20 years with them but got fed up of the ever increasing prices. So bought a kodi box for £45 and now get all sports channels and movies through streaming .. Sod sky
