ASTON VILLA EYE RHODES
17/010/16
Aston Villa are keen to sign Jordan Rhodes on loan from Middlesbrough.
New boss Steve Bruce is said to be working on a January deal for Rhodes which would see Boro receive a bonus if the Villans gain promotion, as the former Hull City manager looks to mould the Villa squad.
The 26-year-old striker signed for Middlesbrough in the last January transfer window but has struggled to adjust to life in the North East, making only two starts for Aitor Karanka's side since their promotion to the top tier.
It is also claimed Villa want to acquire the services of Rhodeās uncle, Middlesbrough assistant manager Steve Agnew.
Agnew, however, is said to be happy working under Karanka and not interested in completing a reunion with Bruce, after the pair worked together at Hull.

He's a funny one. I really thought he'd hit the big time. I wonder how he'd do under a good man manager like our Colin.
