Undoubtedly a big club and the second biggest in the championship, but its only 70 miles and an 1 hour 20 min journey.

Agree with this.I think its fair to say if we had a couple of dozen clubs within 40 miles of us our away support would be as good as anyone's.

They take 2,000 fans to places like Norwich on a Tuesday night.
Personally I can't stand Leeds, but without a doubt there away support is one of the best in the country and even when their team is shit.

No one can question their away support they travel no matter how far or how bad they play.

TBF Leeds have have a history where they achieved substained success which creates a hardcore following and was/is classed as the premier club in Yorkshire. Leeds is also massive with 750k population, not to mention pretty big towns sounding it, such as Bradford which is 300k population. I know Bradford is familiar to you Annis as is it is to me, I was there Tuesday and saw too many Leeds tops....a lot of family up there have always said Bradford is there home team but Leeds was always the glamour club who flew the Yorkshire flag for tgem.Im a sucker for the stats and if you add up all the populations of the smaller towns with a short drive of Leeds and you arent far off the Welsh population....maybe short but still. Kinda puts it in perspective. Successful Club historically x big population = good f*cking following.

I agree there's far to many Leeds tops in Bradford,Halifax,Rotherham etc

But to be fair to Bradford there home following for a lower division club is a massive 18,000 and they have a good away support.

My point is Leeds away support is excellent, but is consistantly up there with the best, yet may have had success, but its years ago.

Agreed plenty of towns near by,but also they have football clubs to.

Jack in the old days I agree, But Def not nowadays, We struggle to take large away support anywhere nowadays and sadly thats a true fact.

We can't even sell out away to Bristol Rovers
