NEIL WARNOCK WANTS IT & HE'S GOT IT ALREADY THERE

" NEIL WARNOCK WANTS GUTS/PASSION & BLOOD "

JUST NEED A PROPER MANAGER TO MANAGE CITY & AS PLAYERS LIKE GUNNERS WERE ALREADY THERE :thumbright:

Aron Gunnarsson was always likely to be a prime target for transfer window silly season speculation, and so it proved as he was linked with clubs far and wide.

Such talk was inevitable, with such a clear disparity between the leader and warrior on show for Iceland in the Euros and the player who wasn't even a regular for Russell Slade last season.

With performances like he did against Bristol City, Warnock will not be able to leave him out on too many occasions.

He has played that half-back role in front of the defence once before this season, in the tepid defeat to Bristol Rovers in the EFL Cup. That night, charged with being his team's primary creator and distributor of the ball, he floundered.

Aron Gunnarsson's performance was reminiscent of his Iceland exploits
Here, charged with playing the kind of high-octane, physical, disciplined game he clearly relishes, he was nothing short of magnificent.

Recognising how effectively he was shutting them down, Bristol City kicked him from pillar to post.

Gunnarsson stood tall against Bristol City :thumbright:

Warnock wants blood and thunder. Little surprise that the man who brought the thunderclap to Europe was the first to put up his hand.

He gave his all and you can't ask for more.

The whole 11 were a team of passion on Friday but Aron and the back 4 got me off my seat a little bit more.

They stoked the fire in the fans for sure

A coach I played under would always say do what you do best, play to your strengths. Similar to what Warnock has said to bamba and no doubt gunnarson. He's never gonna retain possession, spray 60 yard balls and ghost past people. He does what it says on the Tin, in that position he can thrive. Let somebody else create, just give them the platform.

I speak to gunnarson quite often, he absolutely loves Cardiff and as can be seen is passionate for his country. If you remember back he was out of Malkys side first 10 games, won his place back and was magnificent as the destructor for rest of season. He will relish the same opportunity given to him by Warnock. Man management

Can't disagree with that! Never stopped and like you say he does the basics well and fought for everything. Let's have more of it Wednesday. :bluebird: :bluescarf:
