IT was strange that year, Cardiff were everywhere, it was like a home game !!!

First Swansea away for me. On the way back I remember getting on the train, then before it pulled out loads of Cardiff got off and ran back out of the station towards the jacks. Have to admit, I watched from a safe distance! Then on the way back someone pulled the emergency chord just outside Port Talbot.

Yeah i remember this game well. We battered you all the way from outside the North Bank to High St station! Don't take my word for it of course. It's in the original Soul crew book! :laughing6:

And Lakey,who wrote that book was not there at the time as he was only about 9 years old :lol: :bluebird: :bluebird:

C'mon Annis. You know as well as i do there were two authors. Lakey wrote the second part which i'm sure if he'd sent it to Vogue or Cosmopolitan magazines they would have published it no problem! :laughing6:

The account was given by the first guy, it was true and accurate as i was there. Or are you saying it's not in that book or he made it up? ;)

I always used to run the 'naughty boy' coaches from the mid Rhondda areas back then, for this game we all went by train for a change. Certainly didn't get chased anywhere, didn't do any chasing either, in fact it was very boring compared to the normal trips! It was back to the private coaches from then on, much more fun.

The Swansea jacks book is Hilarious I'm sure if he'd sent it to the beano or the dandy they'd have published it no problem! :lol: :wave:
