How stupid is it of the canton stand to keep asking players to do the Ayatolla anytime when we are attacking or defending, absolutely unbelievable when there is a lull in play no problem, but when in play no way, then to boo when the player does not respond because he is concentrating on the game, bamba was asked to do it, he obliged, and Warnock did it the same time, next second out comes the chant Warnock do the ayatolla Warnock has stated may times he will do the Ayatolla, but not all throughout the game.

Agree , it's become embarrassing.
I want the players concentrating , not fecking patting their heads.

Persnally I thought it was good banter with warnick tonight, he knew what we were shouting but he was concentrating on the game, I doubt it affected him at all. When he done the Ayatollah after the game before entering the tunnel was class we were loving it in the Canton Stand. Regarding the booing any1 with half a brain knows no one I see seriously booing the players when not doing the Ayatollah.

A unique part of who we are chaps. Agree not to do it when obviously not the right time and pressed but they do it when they can. Everyone moans when we don't have our own songs but the Ayatollah and call to new players and managers plus to existing when they playing well is unique to us and long may it continue. NW was so focussed on the game he didn't initially do it, as did Bamba but did so when it was OK and I bet they absolutely loved it, as it is shows acceptance & appreciation of the mass of fans. Really enjoyed tonight and looking forward to Wednesday.

there near meltdown when jazz richards 'refused' to do the ayatollah. when the same situation happens with warnock we get threads like this
some fans are pathetic.

My only thought on the Ayatollah on Friday was how all those players and particularly the manager have been at the club for a week (long enough)and not been told that they will be asked to do the ayatollah which 'goes like this'. Shows we have no Cardiff people cos its almost a right of passage to begin your reign.....sounds daft but it blow my mind that a unique bit of Cardiff City culture was never mentioned and it has happened before

Do the daft thing once as a player then that should be it permanently

Agree with all except one part. Warnock DID do the ayatollah before the game. There was a small chant for him and he done it which most city fans missed and continued all game to get him to do it. But like you say, he done it again and it was all in good humour.

Best thing to do is to point at the top section of the new stand and say "that's how it's done son"!
