" SHOCKED "

I've just had this Sent me and then seen it on Ali's Facebook wall

By Ali Yassine ex Cardiff City Staff

Hi Friends,

A few months ago a number of messages appeared on my Facebook page regarding my exit from Cardiff City to which I replied. To be honest, hindsight is a wonderful thing and I probably shouldn't have responded. However, the accusations were of a nature that I felt compelled to defend myself.

Before I begin, I just wanted to say that in all those years on the tannoy i.e. many of you heard my voice for the best part of 15 years at Ninian Park and Cardiff City Stadium yet how many times did you hear me say my name over the PA system? The answer - never. From the beginning I was there to represent the club and unlike Halftime Wayne, I didn't name check myself, appear in the match day programme (take a look in your past programmes if you like) nor was I ever on the mic at celebrations organised by the club i.e. FA Cup final, League Cup final, Playoff final, promotion parties (every division from League 2 since I started), etc. I wasn't even at these celebration events because I was never invited... and you needed an invite to get in. Indeed, on one occasion when I invited myself to the Premier Division promotion party at Cardiff City Stadium, I was denied entry by the security staff and went home. Thanks, Don. Classy.

Anyway, back to the main reason for my post. As I said, a number of posts appeared on my Facebook page. Most were questioning me on the accusation that I had been kicked out of Cardiff City FC because I allegedly abused or assaulted a female member of staff in the club shop.

Following a reply I gave on my private page shared only with friends I received a letter through the post from Capital Law, the club's solicitors. Indeed, it came on the same day as I received another letter from the club i.e. the same letter every other season ticket holder got from the CEO thanking us for our support). I cannot go into the details of the Capital Law letter because they mark their letters 'strictly confidential', which is lawyer talk for 'we'll sue your ass if you repeat the contents'.

Funny, this only came about when I refused their verbal offer of a free season ticket and £2000 as long as I signed a gagging order. This came through my GMB union rep and fellow season ticket holder, Mike Payne. Ask him if you like. Therefore, just to be clear, I pay for my own season ticket and for my 7 yr old boy. In fact, I had no issue with the club over getting rid of me, just the manner in which they did it. In my opinion, it was personal decision not a commercial decision. They've had 6 announcers since I left and still can't seem to find anyone who can string a sentence together, allegedly.

As I stated in my post, if I had done what I am accused of, where is the CCTV footage (this allegedly happened in the club shop)? Where is the statement from the person? And, could you please tell me who I am supposed to have allegedly abused or assaulted? I'm still in the dark on that one too.

I will say, however, that I asked these questions and more in an informal meeting that took place at Cardiff City Stadium attended with my GMB union rep some 2 months after my exit. As well as the Head of HR, the CEO and Head of Stadium this 'informal' meeting was attending by Capital Law, whose representative stated that the club weren't obliged to provide information of any alleged accusations or provide supporting evidence.

I have long suspected that this account has been hacked but didn't know how to go about finding out. However, thanks to Apple installing a new operating system, I was getting messages to verify my identity. Have a look at the photo below i.e. the rescue email address. A person with a Cardiff City email address has not just hacked my Facebook account but my entire computer and its operating system, allegedly.

Legal advice needed please. Feel free to share this.

shocking!!!
if there is any evidence of wrongdoing surely the club had an obligation to pass any information to the police, which leads to the highly libellous issues of computer fraud and defamation of character.
shocking !!!

I see Ali regularly on a Wednesday he comes to watch his boy as we coach a session for kids in Grangetown. He's a great guy with an immense passion for city. I always loved hearing him over the tannoy and would still like him back. Sad the way it's gone.

How many words can you get in,in a second.

If the story about Ali were true then the club wouldn't be offering a free season ticket and £2,000.

If someone has hacked your personal data then they have breached the Data Protection Act. If they have misused this information by posting on your Facebook page material which is then believed to be from you then that is a criminal act under the DPA and possibly fraud if it was done to save the club having to pay you compensation.

Recently I had someone breach my personal data. It was nothing on the scale of what's happened to Ali but a serious breach altogether. It was settled quickly and I recovered £250 I had lost plus I gained £250 in compensation.

I would write to the club (via Capital Law) and point out that there could have been a breach of DPA and possible fraud. Ask them for an explanation and who was the owner of the Email address p******@cardiffcityfc.co.uk? Inform them you reserve the right to report this matter to a regulatory body (Football League/Welsh FA) and take legal action through the courts.

Wez, I have not got a clue, I had it all sent to me and then I looked on Ali's Facebook account and he had put it all on there himself and the picture of the so called email etc

Then Ali asked everyone for legal advice against the club and saying he believed they had tried to bribe him with £2,000 etc to keep his mouth shut.

Personally I don't even speak to Ali.

Ali
GMB should be dealing with this if your previous employer has hacked your email particularly if it happened before you where formerly dismissed if you are unhappy with your rep go above their head not only could you quash any false alergations but you may be entitled to comp should you want to do that. Other than that I would expect the club would want to drop any thing against you than face criminal action against themselves. Gmb has lawyers for you use them

If Ali has a genuine complaint against the club which he can back up with proof .
Surely the place to voice it is through the legal system, and not on a football forum , which the club looks at regularly and given the club the heads up.
If somebody had hacked my account I would be straight onto the law.

Anyway when I first saw the heading, I thought it was an offer made to Carl AKA " STAFF" remember all that made up nonsense bad mouthing the club .
I agree with Wez things are looking up for the club ,we have the manager we all wanted , so why oh why do some people want to rock the boat and cause problems .
Some people are only happy when everything is negative and they can have a good moan.

That's a security page from his mac or iPhone. And it looks like someone with a ccfc email address has put their email in to hack his details.

Correct, slander too. Looks like They made up lies to sack him, tried to bribe him when they realise they messed up and now their digging for dirt because the bribe didn't work.

You would have to be an absolute cretin to try and hack in to anyones account and use an email address which gives away who you are or where your from in the address.

As for Ali, don't know him but never liked him as an announcer, found him cringeworthy.

It is true that the Email address indicates the organisation but the name doesn't identify an individual as its p*****

If Ali has been offered £2000 and a free season ticket then the club must have some doubt about their behaviour. Personally if I were him I would accept the offer and put the whole nonsense behind me. I should also add any offer is not considered a 'bribe' it is considered an out of court settlement.

So club supposingly are guilty of all these things? yet he chooses to put it out on a football forum and social media instead of going to the police or consult legal advice wonder why he hasn't taken legal route ? (Maybe not true)
Ps as an anouncer I found him cringworthy glad he's gone!

My opinion it sounds very sour grapes, also very daft in my opinion putting it all over Facebook. If he has a case leave it with his solicitor, not the public domain first.
