Emyr Huws, the forgotten man at CCFC?

Fri Oct 14, 2016 9:49 am

What's people's thoughts on this situation?

A genuine talent with bags of potential who must've been a seven figure sum but is sat warming the bench most weeks, but why?

Technically he's one of if not the best midfielders we have and has a great eye for goal. So you have to wonder why he's had so little game time thus far especially with the team struggling so much.

In my opinion Ralls should have been dropped for him weeks ago, hopefully he gets some more game time under Warnock because he's far too good to be warming the bench at a low level Championship club (which is where we find ourselves at the moment).

To be fair, whilst he hasn't had many opportunities he's hardly set the world alight when he has had some game time for us. He's actually looked better when he's come on for Wales.

However, I do agree that it is less easy to work out how Ralls has been persevered with and Huws has only had one league start.

It will be interesting to see Warnock's team selection develop over the first month.

Ralls has been a walking disaster when he's played at times this season, apart from giving the ball away he's done nothing. Huws can't do any worse!

Brilliant at Birmingham a couple of years ago on loan from Man City. Kept them up. Victim of a managerial fuckfest at Wigan combined with a bad injury. Top class at Huddersfield last season scoring five times in 31 games. Never let Wales down despite being used in scraps by Coleman. Travesty that he didn't go to France. He might just have made the difference against Portugal. Now at Cardiff, why buy him to not use him? He's got plenty of pace, sees a pass and moves the ball quickly. He can also score goals. Haven't seen much of that this season to be honest. If Warnock has got as much football nous as everyone makes out the answer to a ponderous, unimaginative midfield might already be there?
