Boos

Sun Oct 09, 2016 9:16 pm

Felt sick when I heard the boos at full time. I had to watch it on tv and I have always gone down when I can to watch wales. I couldn't get tickets as they were sold out to all these plastics who expect us to win every game and for them to boo the team was pathetic.

Totally agree with you. Disgraceful booing your team. I was lucky enough to be there but I hate the plastics too, had one sat next to me who moaned and complained every time a Welsh player made a mistake. Said it was the worst performance he'd seen from Wales. He left on the 86th minute too. Total cock!

South Wales in particular has always been a place full of bandwagon, glory supporting, drop you like a stone type fans for all Clubs and Country, it doesn't surprise me in the slightest sadly.

I know loads who have called Wales shit for years and never been interested suddenly turn into Super Fans overnight, these will no doubt be the types that boo and the first to abondon ship after a poor campaign.

Same with Cardiff.

mad how these people are slating our team after 1 average performance. Okay we didn't play great but we were missing Allen and Ramsey and for them to boo just shows their lack of football knowledge and proves they've only been supporting us since France.

I was in the grandstand, but can't say I noticed any boos. People were disappointed, but boos?

On TV it certainly sounded like a few boos and seen a few people on Twitter mentioned it.

Disappointing, then, but I never heard anything. Just disappointed applause at the end, as normal after a home draw when we expected to win!

I was in centre of Ninian Stand.
The boos sounded loud but there were more claps of appreciation than boos.

Re: Boos

People are entitled to boo and show their disgust at a pathetic display of football. As for calling other fans plastic- fcuk off at least they were there. These so called plastics are filling the stadium. Piss off you self righteous idiot

Re: Boos

Sun Oct 09, 2016 10:27 pm

you have to remember that for the majority of the fans there, they have only known success and so any defeat is a disaster and warrants booing. the real fans would of course stay to the end and not boo, but you have to accept that part of being successful is attracting plastics who go there to be entertained and expect the team to win no matter what.

that said, although it was a muted response at the end, i heard little to no booing.

I was filling the stadium when none of them wanted to  now all of a sudden we are good it's making loads of people like me ( not just me ) not being able to go. And how was it a pathetic display of football? the players were trying just lacked the quality of Allen and Ramsey so not so sure the team deserved to get slated

Hate the new plastic, must win at all cost fan, they make me sick. They desert as quick as they jump on the success band wagon. Get rid of the lot of them :bluebird:

Re: Boos

So go back to half empty stadiums? A lot of fans that travelled to France for the euros had never followed wales away before.
Wales were dreadful tonight-simple.
Idiots calling other fans plastic is a disgrace. Football is a fickle existence....fans and players combined

Re: Boos

Sun Oct 09, 2016 11:26 pm

It's ridiculous, spoilt f*cking brats is what they are. We've been on a fantastic run/journey but tonight was a little reality check of that we're not world beaters and the fans need to understand that games like this will come along. Still proud of the boys tonight, the quality and know how was unfortunately not there but they gave it their all and as welshman thats all I can ask for. Roll on Serbia. Wales !!

From where I was sat the only boos was every time the opposition had the ball, I didn't hear anyone booing our team.

Then people will complain that you can't fill the stadium. You can't have it both ways.

Will that mean the plastics will f**k off and I can get a ticket for next game

Everyone wants more fans and a full stadium mate but to boo that team after what they have given us over the past few years and in France after one poor performance (we didn't lose mind) is mental

No just saying if they want and support wales they have to SUPPORT them not slate them. Now I understand they are a minority but these minority are stopping lots of people like me from going when we were the fans supporting them in the rough times. May have sounded to harsh calling them all plastics but there are a minoroty which annoy me and they are the ones who boo when we play one bad game.

Totally agree mate. I wasn't having a pop. But I was pissed off couldn't get a ticket, when I know someone who hasn't watched Wales live before now suddenly buying tickets like they are number 1 fans

There was a bird sat next to me that was on Facebook for 80 of the 90 minutes. When we scored she didn't see the goal or even look up and just stood up still on her phone. Couple of kids playing on their phones as well.
I guess they pay their money but on the other hand it prevents proper football fans like you.

Re: Boos

Mon Oct 10, 2016 3:40 pm

I never went to watch Wales play when they were rubbish, and so I haven't started going now they are a bit better for a while. Don't get me wrong- I was still cheering them on in front of my TV during the summer, but I wouldn't want to deprive anyone who went regularly before.

I'm not a big fan of international football, as club football has the best teams. Also, if people had to pay for TV access to watch the Euros and World Cup, I'm sure there would have been much less interest.

That does my head in. I see it occasionally down the city, lots of people on phones rather than watching game (I know games have been shit) but come on......checking Facebook or dream team ffs watch the game and support the team

There were a few pricks behind me on Sunday, in the grandstand. Swearing audibly when things went wrong or the ref made a decision they didn't agree with. And this in an area of the ground where there were kids (some less than 10 years old) no more than two, three rows in front of them. Also, when Cotterill came on and his performance wasn't up these idiots' standards, one of them started shouting that he should be taken off. Wales had already used all three substitutes
