he was probably earning more money as UTD's Assistant manager than what Swansea offered his as the boss, and he probably wanted more

Giggs only shagged his sister in law not his sister, therefore I'm not sure he qualifies for Swansea?

Fair play to Savage, he's a cock of the highest order.

If Giggs did not come across well enough in talks then why the f**k should the JB's offer him the job?

We "took a punt" on a young up and coming manager with no PL experience when we were in the Premier League - that turned out really well didn't it?

It's a shame they didn't appoint the philanderer as I'm sure he would have taken them down but how shit must he have been in talks if they decided to go with some virtually unknown Yank?

Giggs and Savage - a right pair of pricks.

I heard somewhere that Savage had said The Jacks were disrespectful putting Giggs through an interview because his status was such he didn't need one. What a stupid c**t!

Savage has his head as deep in the football trough as Giggs has had in his families muff. Jerks were right to off Mr Super Injunction as it's OGS all over, great player, shit manager. Although at least OGS was a decent honourable bloke as opposed to Giggsy-Wiggsy-Shaggsy-Corpsey.

GIGGS: WHY I TURNED DOWN SWANSEA

Former Manchester United winger Ryan Giggs said he passed up the opportunity to become Swansea City manager because the Premier League club did not match his ambitions.

Reports suggested Giggs was in line to replace recently sacked coach Francesco Guidolin at Swansea, but the Welsh club instead appointed American Bob Bradley earlier this month following the Italian's departure.

"I was enjoying a bit of travelling and I got a call off Swansea and I met them a couple of times," Giggs told ITV.

"In the end, there was just mixed messages from the football side and the ownership side of the club.

"I just felt their ambitions did not really match mine, so it didn't quite work out."

the days of former players going straight into premier league jobs is probably over. that said, giggs has 2 years of being an assistant manager and has over 25 years experience of premier league football and so has a good chance of finding a club. however, a PL relegation battle is not the right place to learn your trade as a manager.

savage is right that no-one knows more about PL football then giggs. however, bradley may be a safer bet given his clear motivational abilities.

due to the influx of foreign owners and money, young british managers are being marginalised. a decade ago giggs would have walked into a good job, but times have changed.
