Fair play to him not one ounce of ill feeling there new results weren't good enough and probably knew he would struggle to keep us up the way it was going

Thanks Paul highly respected coach but don't think he's a manager of men

Another manager who doesn't mention any interference by our leader. Nice bloke, just no way a manager at Championship level, hope Coleman takes him back into the Welsh fold.

Isn't it? Final statements almost identical also, word for word. Almost like they are pre written..

A dignified response but so glad he has left. He is possibly the worst City manager I can remember. He is certainly in the same 'taxi' as Durban, Hibbit, Neal and OGS.

Nearly every statement from any manager who loses his job is exactly the same as this one. Exactly the same as the club always thanks them for their services and wishes them all the best for the future. It's called diplomacy.

First he was the great saviour, the man with the Welsh formation that would result in us winning the league. Wind on two months and everyone is calling him everything under the sun, he is going to get us relegated and we want him sacked immediately. Now he's gone we did'nt mean everything we said and fair play he is a good man really. Feel sorry for Warnock when it sinks in to everyone that he is not the son of God and can't actually walk on water. Let's pray we don't lose to Bristol.

Hardly 'speaking out' - just a very bland, boring statement - bit like his football.

Very nice but fair play warnock has done more in a few days than you did in all your time here. For me I won't miss you Paul. But all the best anyway

Money talks! When there's likely to be a generous little bonus for "making no noise" it would be very few who would speak their minds!

That is close to correct. Part of the settlement is to never speak about your time at the club, at least not in a critical way. It's no bonus. If anything Tan set the presence with Malky, and negotiations with Ole almost went to court..
you'd have to be pretty blind not to see the keep your mouth shut clauses.

Fair play Trollope nice person, just not up to being the manager.
Best to leave on amicable terms, helps get you another job in football and remember City are still paying his wages for nearly two years or will come to some deal over the next month :thumbright:

You can be the nicest person in the world but football unfortunately has not suited current squad they all look fed up after 10mins no urgency or pace results speak for themselves wish him the best for the future bring back Malky - lol time will tell with warnock onwards and upwards bluebirds

Not diplomacy, football language or the words of a good guy but the outcome of a financial settlement. The club could not dismiss their manager without facing a large claim. The settlement involving a payment to the former employee ensures the club protects itself and its owners and staff from an oral assault on it from the aggrieved ex employee.

that statement would have been written by an LMA solicitor with little or no input from trollope himself.

there is little to be gained from badmouthing the club or complaining that you weren't given enough time and trollope would of course know this.

Call me cynical or pedantic if you like but reading between the lines of that statement I can see something that troubles me.
:?

I dont think you will find that many "great" Managers who claim they were friends with the players and received support from them. That statement in itself sounds like one made from somebody who was out of their depth! He is clearly a nice bloke and a great coach but he didn't have the minerals to be a decent Manager.

I bet you wont find Warnock making a statement like that about his players. He wont be here looking for friendship or support from the players he will be there to tell them what they need to do and they can like it or lump it! He might have players who help him implement his ideas (perhaps like Paddy Kenny did) but he wont have any friends in the dressing room. He will get alot more respect that way too!

If you think about it that statement adds weight to the theory that Warnock will give us a serious turnaround in performances! :ayatollah: :D :bluebird:

Just the way I see it although I could be wrong. What do you think?

To add more weight to that theory...

Warnock was quoted as saying being "a Manager is a very lonely job as he lifts everyone so who is there to lift him?" Does that sound like the words of a man who is friends with all of the players and staff and getting support from them? Sure he gets to know everyone and is there to support them but he doesen't expect them to support him.

Just an observation. I think we have found a truly dedicated, profesional Manager who knows precisely how to go about doing things and does them the best way he knows how, and thats how he gets his results. :bluebird: :ayatollah: :bluescarf:

In contrast to the above statement.

The only sentiment in this statement is towards his family and fans, he also aknowledges QPR's ambition and demonstrates disapointment at not doing as well as he could do which is mainly due to circumstances.

If you read between the lines of this all you will find is commitment, dedication and profesionalism. Joey Bartons phrase "The King is dead" sounds like one of respect rather than friendship and is not an accolade I would give to anyone other than somebody who was great at their job and who would be missed! :ayatollah: :bluescarf:

Neil Warnock, via a statement on the club's website: "Obviously I'm very disappointed, but having achieved so much, I leave the club with a great sense of pride.

"I have enjoyed my time here more than anywhere else and the QPR fans have been brilliant with me - they deserve success.

"My biggest regret is that the takeover didn't happen earlier, because that would have given me the opportunity to bring in the targets I'd pinpointed all last summer and probably given us a better chance to succeed in the Premier League.

"The board at QPR are hugely ambitious and I wish them every success for the future.

"I've been involved in the game a long time and I will be spending the immediate future with my family and friends before deciding my next career move."

QPR captain Joey Barton on Twitter:"Gutted to hear about the manager losing his job. We have to stick together as a club at times like these and believe in those above. As a football club, we must look forwards now and try our utmost to attain Premiership status for next season. 'The king is dead........' Strange game this, commodity based industry using human beings as those commodities. Its the nature of the beast."
