This Cardiff Identity Thing

Fri Oct 07, 2016 6:56 am

Has Mr Warnock realised; or stumbled on, that our identity is not an actual a style of play or a system, but is actually what goes on in the stadium.

He has always spoken well of the fans, and it is well documented what it is like to play Cardiff in front of a rocking stadium, and he is talking about bringing that back. Is this the Cardiff way, intimidation, atmosphere and passion. He has already brought a lot of excitement in his 2-3 and bit days and the buzz is back for many without a ball being kicked.

I could be talking crap as per, but in my opinion this is what following Cardiff always was, he wants it back, we are all desperate for it and there are many many threads about how dead the stadium is, can we bring it back and make it the Cardiff way again, all we ask is for a bit pride in the shirt from the players and we will get that.

Thoughts without abuse please

I agree, lets hope we can get off to a good start and the fans start coming back.

Crap team with fans who like a ruck.

That's our identity, like it or not.

To me, this clearly shows that Trollope and the management were wrong to implement a so called 'Welsh Way' at Cardiff City. Warnock has seen right through this and rightly so, we all knew the different between the Cardiff and Welsh set up was simply down to the 11 players that Trollope wanted to play against a system that didn't suit the team we have.

Cardiff City have always had a rough edge to them, I think the past 10 years this has changed, by the new stadium and where the fans sit in comparison to the away fans, has changed the atmosphere at the ground. I'm not saying this is wrong and we need to bring back the old days but Cardiff used to be intimidating and a tough nut to crack.

I for one, am extremely happy with what Warnock has said about the club, and for the first time since i'd say Eddie May, we have a proper old school manager at the helm who will bring the fans back.
