' JUST SO EVERYONE KNOWS TONIGHT/TOMORROW '

Mon Oct 03, 2016 8:00 pm

I have just been told our famous Committee will be Blaming Paul Trollope, for all the new signings and blaming the current downfall solely on Paul Trollope.

Apparently our committee had nothing to do with all this seasons signings, the apparent Cardiff way and Trollope has been doing everything on his own.

I thought we had supposedly learnt from all this and now thats why we had a so called Committee formed by their master

So I am told Trollope will be gone in the next few days or before.

And they will say they will release funds for the new manager in January transfer market

Apparently Choo is making a statement this week

"YOU HONESTLY COULD NOT MAKE THIS UP/THE CIRCUS CONTINUES"

You'd have to be either a mug or desperate to buy that from the club, the only thing being released will be more players no doubt

Is the return of Dave Jones a strong possibility?

Re: ' JUST SO EVERYONE KNOWS TONIGHT/TOMORROW '

Mon Oct 03, 2016 8:21 pm

Trollope has messed up a reasonable team. He has a top half of the table squad but has now got them so confused that they really don't know what they are doing. Is it all his fault? Probably not. But its by no means all the fault of the "transfer committee" either.

If the team performs badly, the manager carries the can - that's modern football. It probably wasn't all di Matteos fault at Villa, or Guidolins fault at Swansea, or even Warren Feeneys fault at Newport, but it's a results business.

Re: ' JUST SO EVERYONE KNOWS TONIGHT/TOMORROW '

Mon Oct 03, 2016 8:22 pm

So I guess Trollope already knows he's up the road.

Re: ' JUST SO EVERYONE KNOWS TONIGHT/TOMORROW '

Trollope is to blame to some extent but to blame him about the transfers is taking the piss.

If you don't invest in a business to make you better than the competition you go backwards... sound familiar...

We need an experience manager, and an injection of pace throughout the team in January or before if we can bring in some free agents.

I really believe we can progress up the table we're not a million miles away. The team in effect is the same as last year...

Let's do it quick.

I predict Rowberry and a long season before relegation.

Annis, you simply couldn't make it up! LOL

Do they seriously think the City faithful are that naive and gullible?

I'm not a particular advocate of removing Paul Trollope right now, as I don't see the club having the nous to replace him with someone who is allowed to make the footballing decisions that are needed

I've met Mr Choo on a number of occasions and (thanks to mutual friends) he appears to care about the club and its current downward spiral. However, he is a member of Colin Compton's Committee (more mature members will understand that one! LOL :laughing6: ) and there simply must be collective responsibility for where the club are now

FFP has played a huge part in what has gone on in the last 18 months and I'm glad the club have taken steps to ensure a further embargo is not placed on us again. But it seems that even the most basic of decisions are not taken with the best interests of either the fans or the football side in mind :(

Re: ' JUST SO EVERYONE KNOWS TONIGHT/TOMORROW '

Mon Oct 03, 2016 8:42 pm

They have blamed every manager they have hired, none have been good enough except ffor the first one (MM) they one they hounded out, hence we have been falling ever since, So have no one to blame apart from themselves, Committee my ass :ayatollah:

Re: ' JUST SO EVERYONE KNOWS TONIGHT/TOMORROW '

Mon Oct 03, 2016 8:45 pm

I don't think it's hard to disagree with any statement that says Trollope was the man behind our signings? They most clearly WERE players he picked out, given his past working relationship with a number of them.

For once, our club actually went out and got players the manager wanted. Were they the right players? Debatable, right now. But they don't really fit the MO of the players the committee have been signing the past 18 months, so you've got to assume Trollope was given many names he asked for

Re: ' JUST SO EVERYONE KNOWS TONIGHT/TOMORROW '

Mon Oct 03, 2016 8:46 pm

He's being sacked this week, right now I couldn't give a hoot what they say as long as he's shown the door. I share the view that next appointment will no doubt be another shambles but as I have said a million times Trollope remains certain relegation, new manager probable relegation. Makes it a simple decision.

Forget winning of drawing we can't even score a goal, we aren't a team out of form or struggling we are a complete shambles. While I don't think we are world beaters, this lot shouldn't be a team who can't muster a goal. I watched manga down tools against Burton. For me am done with him, if you don't want to play for the shirt then do one. No heart at all.

Your spot on mate, we also need the players running through a brick wall for the manager and the shirt. Currently they are a soft touch.

without doubt the signings were Trollope's they all worked with him before ,the club hired him it hasn't worked out so the club need to fire him it's time for us to get a decent manager and for the fans to get behind him

Interesting this one Annis

Finished eighth place last season. We are now second from bottom.

Fans wanted Slade out because he had no clue but clearly had more of a clue then people have him credit for.

People on here bought into playing the Welsh way on the back of one good tournament. Wanted players like Malone gone and Declan John given a chance despite other managers both at CCFC and other loan clubs not rating him.

The signings appear to be his own as Welsh players or players he has worked with before so I can't see how you can't blame him. His formation clearly does not work and the players don't seem to want to play for him

Bad when he was saying he had three games to save his job to people

There is plenty wrong with off field stuff but for me the blame lies with him.

Be interested to hear who gave you this info

I agree with everything you wrote ,the bad start is down to trollope and the players

I said it earlier today and I'll say it for the second time in one day, nothing will change at our club until we have a new owner.

Since Tan has owned the club, he's blamed five managers/head coach now. Dave Jones, Malky Mackay, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Russell Slade and now Paul Trollope.

Hopefully now people will realise that the management/coaching staff are not the issue.

My honest opinion? I think we will be relegated whoever he brings in, because they'll be treated as badly as all the others.

Re: ' JUST SO EVERYONE KNOWS TONIGHT/TOMORROW '

Mon Oct 03, 2016 9:26 pm

we need a decent manager otherwise i can see him getting rinsed before he starts

lets hope Tan leads from the front  show us how its done :thumbright:

Re: ' JUST SO EVERYONE KNOWS TONIGHT/TOMORROW '

Trollope is to blame for the poor team selection, tactics, motivating players etc, but I don't believe it was down to him selling Marshall & Fabio, bringing in Gounongbe & Zohore on a permanent deal. You have to blame the three people running the club they make the ultimate decisions and every time they have made bad choices they wanted Trollope so they have take the blame. Trollope needs to go without a doubt the three man committee need to make a serous statement and bring in someone experienced that will get the fans excited because another bad mistake is going to be costly if we go down. As far as making funds available if we do get a new manager, well I can't see that happening hope I'm proved wrong.

Spot on. Personally, I'd love Malone back instead of John who is a complete liability. Sade's reputation has just grown and grown this season too.

Trollope has made questionable calls to say the least, why is Ralls still playing? Why doesn't Harris play? Why are we playing so badly with the squad that finished 8th last year?

The transfers such as Huws, Richards and Lambert are undoubtedly Trollope's signings and haven't been a complete success to say the least. Trollope has to go and deserves the lion's share of the blame; and if I could blame Tan for something, I would!

Apologies for a cut'n'paste job from the Lite Side board - not sure if its been posted already but apparently a meeting with the Trust's Keith Morgan (who posts on here I believe) was scheduled today and was just sent out to Trust members as a summary of sorts:

Meeting between Cardiff City CEO Ken Choo and Keith Morgan of the Trust 3/10/16.

Here is a summary of the main points arising from the above named meeting.

On field performance and manager position

Head Coach, Paul Trollope has been given 11 matches to prove himself. He has obviously adopted the Wales formation. However the results are far from satisfactory. The Management of the Club is extremely disappointed with the on field performance as we are driven by results. Therefore the Head Coach's position remains under close review.

The "Transfer Committee"

There has been a great deal of confusion over this, causing some misleading information on messageboards and other social media so Ken was pressed for a proper explanation of what really happens. It was explained as follows.

Potential new player recruits are identified by the club' s scouts across the UK and Europe. They report their findings to Head Scout who then makes a report with a long list of potential targets to an analytical department. They then research the players' backgrounds, dig out video and other reports and present them to the Head Coach who produces a short "wish list" to the Transfer Committee. The Transfer Committee (Chairman, Head Coach, CEO and a Director) will have to agree together with endorsement by owner Vincent Tan. It was stressed by Ken Choo that no-one on the transfer committee suggests players that the manager must sign - it is his choice alone, subject to financial constraints allowing.

Debt to Equity

This is an ongoing dialogue between the Trust and the club. The current position is as follows. The debt to equity conversion of £68m announced in February is still being progressed, but the club still awaits the necessary regulatory approval from Malaysia for it to move towards finalisation as is required by any Malaysian national undertaking such transactions. However, the first of the pledged five annual conversions of £8m has been approved and the transaction will be noted in the May 2016 audited accounts as an event which took place after the financial year end. The Trust will continue to monitor and report on progress in this matter.

Financial Fair Play

As a result of financial controls put in place by the club's board, the CEO was able to confirm that the accounts to 31 May 2016 which will shortly be submitted to the League will be FFP compliant with losses within the allowable limits. It was stressed however that compliance is an ongoing issue which will require further future financial controls to be in place.

Ken Choo stressed that he and the rest of the CCFC Board of Directors are fully aware of how fans feel about the current football performance. In order for us to win, we shall need ongoing support in the attempts to improve the position as soon as possible.

So the debt to equity is still all talk at the moment apart from £8m. Seems to be taking a long time for this to be approved by a foreign country.

In order for us to win, we shall need ongoing support in the attempts to improve the position as soon as possible.

so looks like the club have met with a few different people today

Two I believe Wez. I have never met Steve Roper as far as I am aware, but I believe it was him waiting in reception about 6.30 as I was leaving.

seems like meetings before alot of announcements coming this week wouldn't be surprised that trollope will be sacked and a club statement on the grounds of let's all pull together

So the debt to equity is still all talk at the moment apart from £8m. Seems to be taking a long time for this to be approved by a foreign country.

Personally, as a fan, I find it frustratingly slow as well which is why it is a frequent topic raised when the Trust attends club main board meetings and has meetings such as the one this evening.
I am no expert on the workings of the Malaysian regulatory system but ! Being the old cynic that I am, I have checked with my work colleagues in Kuala Lumpur who have confirmed both that such permission is necessary and that it can take a long time to obtain. Seems stupid to me, but it would that that' s the system out there.
