Cardiff City are ready to end head coach Paul Trollope’s reign in charge after their poor start to the season, sources have told TEAMtalk.com.
Monday 3rd October 2016
Saturday’s 2-0 defeat to Burton was Cardiff’s sixth defeat in their last seven Championship contests to leave the Bluebirds second from bottom of the table.
Former Wales coach Trollope has won just two Championship games since taking control at the Cardiff City Stadium this summer and their opening points tally is their worst in 12 years.
Last weekend’s win over basement boys Rotherham United eased the pressure growing on Trollope but two defeats in the four days to Derby County and Burton appears to be the final straw for Trollope with fans turning on him.
Cardiff City chairman Vincent Tan is reluctant to part company with Trollope but patience is understood to have worn thin with amid fears if they do not make a change they could find themselves involved in a relegation battle this season.

Ned, if it is going to happen then it needs to be now, as the international break will give time for a new man to be put in place. I just hope that if they do make the change, they are a lot more thoughtful and decisive with regard to who they want to replace him
I'm not convinced that Trollope is the whole of the problem at the CCS but as ever the hierarchy will not want to apportion any blame to themselves

Has he gone yet?

Well, after the two high profile sackings today, it would be the perfect opportunity to 'do a Tony Blair' and bury some bad news in amongst the media clamour at Swansea and Aston Villa

The Board appear unsure/split on a decision but we all know the final decision will come from only one source!

Warnock did a great job for Rotheram in a 16 game spell stopped the rot and went 11 games unbeaten.....
Without him, I think we'll go down, with him top half and a chance to build for the following season, we can't afford not to get him......

quite sad but its the way modern football is nowadays. managers have to hit the ground running or get sacked. do you hold your nerve and risk more poor results or make a quick decision to sack the manager and replace him as soon as you are in trouble in the hope that results will improve (as the jacks have done)? if you attempt to change things, then unless it works straight away you are likely to be sacked. fergie wouldn't have lasted a season let alone 26 in this day and age.
marshall, jones and fabio apart, this is basically the same team. marshall was a huge loss though. it takes a special manager to get fantastic results out of a club that is cutting back because the whole atmosphere around such a club is that its ok to regress. trollope may not be exceptional, but he is not a mug. with more cash i believe he would have stood a greater chance of success.
the bottom line is that the team is underachieving at the moment, though.
