' MANAGER/COACH ' CARDIFF CITY

http://www.annisabraham.co.uk/2016/10/0 ... diff-city/ :bluebird:

Why are people getting mixed up with PT role at the club everyones calling him our manager when hes not, its been stated by the club also.

The circus which contains the three amigo's may as well have the title ( Manager )

How can he be our manager when he has no final say in anything its been proven in the media when the paul hartley guy from Dundee turned us down before slade took over as to why he didn't come to us was because he wouldn't be allowed to make his own football decisions.

A media face and a coach for the players on the training field is all Trollope id say.

Yes things are shit on the pitch but lets not just think its all down to PT when its not imo :bluescarf:

Buts lets all pitch fork PT to death anyway

I turned down Cardiff City's manager role because I like to have the final say, admits Paul Hartley

Dundee boss reveals reasons he rejected Bluebirds' approach to take over from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Scottish manager Paul Hartley has revealed he turned down the chance to become Cardiff City manager before Russell Slade because he felt he would not be allowed to make his own football decisions.
The former Celtic midfield player was favourite to become Bluebirds manager after the departure of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last September.

City owner Vincent Tan instead turned to Slade, who moved to Cardiff from Leyton Orient.
“I know some people say ‘you were stupid not to go down there’, but I don’t see it that way,” said Hartley, speaking for the first time about the Bluebirds' approach.
“I am still learning as a manager. There is still a long way to go and I am only in my fourth year in my management career. I want to try and build Dundee FC and make it successful."
He told Sky Sports: “There was a lot of stuff going on at Cardiff City that wouldn’t have made the job entirely mine, in terms of decision-making, so I just felt it wasn’t for me.
“I feel that I am my own person and like to have the final say in things.”

The 38-year-old Hartley, who won Scottish Cup winners’ medals with Hearts and Celtic as a player during 2006 and 2007, has steered Dundee to seventh place in the Scottish Premier League.
He is now preparing the Blues for their Scottish Cup fifth-round home tie against his former club Celtic this Saturday and says: “I’ve got a job to do here at Dundee. I enjoy my work, I work with a good group and a good board. I have got an excellent coaching staff and playing staff – there is unfinished business here.
“It wasn’t the right time for me to move away and I decided to stay with Dundee.”

Ian, Yes I call him the manager, but thats just my saying, But I've been saying for years, our managers/coaches don't have hardly any say, as Tan and his committee are virtually running the whole show,so I can never see us getting a decent manager.

Agree with this fully.

PT is a symptom, not the cause.

Look at our squad, where is the pace, where are the forwards?, where are the wingers?

Centre backs are championship level at best and when not at best are not good enough.
Midfield are much of a muchness, no dog, no fight, no strength, too deep.
we dont have one player in the squad that can go round a player and get to the byline

cant buy out of it

cant sell players we have - no one wants them

PT is not helping himself at all though.
Confused, too slow, too quiet

I accept what your saying here and PT is not a 'Traditional' football manager in the sense that many would understand on here and, from the outset the club has been clear that his role is 'Head Coach' and nothing else.

Loads of clubs having tried this set up but, almost all would have a Director Of Football / Sporting Director in position to deal with off field matters like player recruitment. Without doubt, in my opinion, this important role is being carried out by the 3 Amigo's also known as the 'Executive Committee', and sadly they are dominated by 'El Gwapo' A.K.A Vincent Tan.

Sadly and ever since it's inception in 2014 this 'Executive Committee' has shown itself to be unfit for purpose and look no further than this summer and the sale of Marshall & Moore within a week of each other without first having adequate replacements. Don't even start me on the forwards signed. Sadly for PT he has to deal with ALL this nonsense and again sadly he will be the fall guy for the failings of the 3 Amigo's.

The question is will they be able to convince a decent, experienced manager to take over the reigns at our club against a backdrop of chaos.

Just blame PT that's the easy way out but he's the face for all to see that's the problem :bluescarf:
