Can Saadi be recalled from his loan?

Sun Oct 02, 2016 8:52 am

In our current situation we only have 1 striker at the club. ( Fred and ken are the same and not good enough or not ready)
We seriously lack pace and an explosion off the bench.

I'm not saying that Saadi is good but he has been playing and scoring and is a better option as sub or as 442 with lambert.

Anyone know?
Anyone care?

why ruin a young lads career playing with us, leave him where he is and let him enjoy his football!

Pretty sure it's FIFA's transfer rules that mean we have to wait till January.

He can only be recalled during the next transfer window, IF, the loan agreement includes a clause allowing the club to recall him. However if both clubs were to agree to cancel the loan by ' mutual agreement' then he can also be recalled this way but, again only during the next transfer window.

VT owns both clubs so mutual agreement should be possible, perhaps we could spice the deal up by sending Zohore on loan in the opposite direction.

Is he at the same club we got Zohore from?

Fans seem to put a lot of faith in untested players and end up disappointed. There was plenty of optimism when we signed Cornelius and later on, Doyle. There is every possibility that Saadi is no better than these, so whoever is in charge here needs to find a way to get some quality balls into Lambert and whoever else we have playing up front. There is no miracle cure to the problems we currently have with this squad.

I understand that he is on a season long loan, in normal circumstances that would mean until May not January, but being as VT owns both clubs, there is no reason why he cannot be brought back, and I mean now and not January, as he is not a transfer, he is already under contract to City

No regardless if Tan owns both clubs it's Fifa rules season long loans can either have recall option or no recall option , we have the recall option but due to Fifa rules recall options on season long loans are only available in January

Actually if the two clubs agree to terminate the loan then that is in the rules

You can put a recall clause in a contract although most clubs will not agree to that as it may leave them short in the middle of the season and there would be nothing they could do about it.
