If Trollope is shown the door

Wed Sep 28, 2016 7:55 pm

Who do we think comes in and please be realistic here the situation has been made very clear that the club is only floating within FFP rules by an estimated £1m so that means Trollope needs to be paid up and a new manager coming in on a max of around £350k a year, so the likes of warnock, Bruce etc are out of the question

For me the club will be looking at lower league managers and who down there would you give the chance to? And more so would they want the chance?

I thought Justin Edinburgh done a decent job at county on a limited budget and maybe the kind of manager we could easily get? Robinson another maybe that would like the chance at this level?

Compensation for any manger even lower leagues could also be a sticking point

I wonder how much Rotherham paid Warnock last season to get them out of trouble?

Why are we limited to paying £350k a year? It seems that until the last year's accounts are filed in December we have no idea how much the club can spend without breaching the FFP rules.

I would argue that it would be much more beneficial to get a decent manager in now to work with the squad we have even if it means we can't sign anybody in January. Let's be honest, the signings made in the last four transfer windows have hardly been a great success have they?

What we need is a manager with experience in this division - any manager from the lower leagues will be a major, major, gamble.

Darrell Clarke, Bristol Rovers. 2 back-to-back promotions after suffering a relegation after taking over a sinking ship.

Turned down Leeds Utd, perhaps we can get him as he wouldn't have to move house? I think he's worth a shot at :ayatollah:

Pretty sure it's common knowledge that the club is still losing £1m a month and that FFP rules only allow a £13m loss for the season add in trollopes pay off compensation for a manager at another club and his salary and 350k may be too much

That's dependant obviously on that £1m a loss figure being correct

I go after mark Warburton he might leave rangers go bk to championship and he probably be cheap option as rangers are skint and can afford him.or give to Bellamy can't do any worse then trollope doing

We could give Warnock a bung to get him here.

Surely the club can make money in a cup run or simply a player will need to leave in January to balance the books. We are not talking vast sums of money to pay Trollope off but going down would be financial suicide

He has to go I can't take this people said we were bad under slade we were not!! We were organised bar the odd game where we were awful we had a solid home record and teams didn't fancy playing us at ccs it's now a guaranteed 3pts for any side and if you don't win your home games you know what happens and it's not much better away from home

What happened to better football? Seen zero me Trollope

Give me slade any day, boring football boring 4-4-2 but mid table security over this shower any day no heart no desire no passion he's lost the dressing room don't care how much he goes on about squad backing him they aren't playing for him
