SAM ALLARDYCE: ENTRAPMENT HAS WON

Here's what the former England manager has had to say...

“Obviously I have to do this before I go away," Allardyce told Sky Sports News HQ. "On reflection it was a silly thing to do.

“I was trying to help someone out I knew for 30 years and unfortunately it was an error in judgement on my behalf.

“Entrapment has won on this occasion and I have to accept that."

A great manager, terrible PR/Media if that's how he deals with scandal. No wonder the big clubs never called in the Bolton days

In the midst of all our present woes as Bluebirds , the Sam Allardyce fiasco makes amusing reading in the English press!

How satisfying to see the arrogant English FA made to look like a bunch of buffoons by the man they chose to be the next in a long line of messiahs who will "win England the next World Cup". It was also very enjoyable to hear the likes of Adrian Durham squirming like f**k on TalkShite along with other English soccer pundits trying to make excuses for Allardyce and for him not to get the sack because it was "naivety - a simple error of judgement and morality" on Allardyce's part because he chose to use his England Manager position to grab a £400k fee for giving a talk. Isn't it funny how the likes of Durham abandon their "principles" so easily because they thought Allardyce would win them a World Cup!?

Clearly by sacking Allardyce the English FA have cut right through the naivety and morality bullshit and realised that Allardyce's most damning action in this incident was that he explained to the 'businessmen' present at the interview how they could get around and avoid rules set by his (Allardyce's) employer. Let's say I am a doctor and I explained to several members of the public how to obtain prescription only drugs without actually having a prescription - do you think I would keep my job ffs? Do you think my action would be seen as me simply being naïve regarding a moral issue? No - I'd be barred from ever practising medicine again. Whatever job you are in we can all relate to what would happen to our jobs if we were caught explaining to 3rd parties how to get around rules set by our employers!

I suppose at least Allardyce will go as the first and probably the last England manager to go with a 100% win record!!
