' KENNETH ZOHORE '

Cardiff City Striker

Cardiff City manager Paul Trollopes defends the performance of Kenneth Zohore, "Given his performance, he said after last night match against Derby County."

'Kenneth Zohore is a young player, who is still developing, he's still very much learning the game. It was a big ask for him in a difficult situation. I'm not one to make excuses, you still have to believe you can cope with the opposition. For large spells of it we did that, but we didn't look too likely in open play and didn't build up a huge head of steam.'

Cardiff City signed striker Kenneth Zohore on a permanent deal,he's currently 22 years old.

The Danish Under-21 international has joined the Championship club on a three year contract from Cardiff City owners other club Belgian club KV Kortrijk for an undisclosed fee.

I'll give him this he is an asset when we are defending a corner. That's it through...

FFS Trollope stop serving up such bullshit.....Zohore was absolute garbage last night, we have signed him on a 3 year contract and is nowhere near a championship striker. Our players stopped even trying to pass to him in the last 20 minutes it was embarrassing

He might be young but even youth team strikers have an idea of how to play. Looked like he had concrete boots on.

How old is Healy 21 I think? If he can score in a team bottom of the Football League then why isn't he given a chance instead of Ken the Clown?

How dare Trollope try to play the youth card, when he's loaned out BETTER young strikers than this useless plonker?

My anger at Trollope, and our shit strikers, is growing by the day.

Re: ' KENNETH ZOHORE '

Wed Sep 28, 2016 6:01 pm

if trollope accepts Zahores perfomance last night then we have big big problems, the player has no ability and i'm affaid it's time to look up the directions for the clubs in league one because that is where we are heading

Re: ' KENNETH ZOHORE '

Can anyone hand on heart say they were excited when he signed a 3 year deal after such an underwhelming loan spell?

This transfer committee needs to be smashed to pieces, the club is already on it's knees.

Re: ' KENNETH ZOHORE '

I have seen some shit strikers in my time watching Cardiff city but Zohore is up there as one of the worst.

he is the only striker i know who when in space whilst attacking goes and marks a defender.

I genuinely couldn't believe it, if I'm honest. I have no idea who looked at this guy last season and though, "yeah, he's a talent, let's sign him up."

There's so many unanswered questions surrounding the signing but the committee and it's dealings are purposely vague. Trollope has worked with him for a few months and must know what kind of talent he has, it's worrying that Trollope either rates him or has no influence on the other committee members to look elsewhere.

I just can't see him blossoming into a footballer, that first touch he's got on the football endanger others around him if he had some aggression :) :ayatollah:

It's obvious that this guy was recommended to Tan or Dalman or whoever by some foreign contact when he was playing in Denmark, he was signed by Tans Belgium club and loaned straight to us to get around our transfer embargo. It looks like he was always going to permanently sign for us when our embargo was lifted.

Another example of our so called transfer commitee being completely useless, apart from a few decent 10 minute cameos last season this guy showed absolutely nothing to suggest he was a championship player, clueless non football people deciding our transfer targets it's getting pitiful now...mistake after mistake and they never learn

Re: ' KENNETH ZOHORE '

That was a watershed moment, he can't come back. This wasn't a bad night at the office, it was look I am nowhere near good enough probably for the football league. Because if Revell is League 1 then this kid is barely good enough to receive anything other than a part time wage.

I have to agree, hoped those responsible would have learned lessons in the transfer market over last few years but obviously not. Our transfer committee, policy, doesn't work and this signing, more than any other, is baffling. I hate to think things are going to get a lot worse before they get better, but I expect they are.

He's unfit and useless yet another failure by our transfer committee

Re: ' KENNETH ZOHORE '

We are fucked trollope can't you see a striker learning the game isn't going to keep us in the championship
My daughter is 8 and even she kept saying he's shit why don't he jump.

Excuses are coming thick and fast just like relegation

I think the special transfer committee seen him score 2 goals last season and got carried away and thought we got ourselves a bargain here, he's one for the future sign him up, he could be worth 8 Mill one day

Re: ' KENNETH ZOHORE '

I have seen some shit strikers at Cardiff and Zohore is the worst.

Trollope should apologise to the fans for putting him on the pitch.

Whoever gave him a 3 year contract ain't got a clue.

We must have better stokers than Zohore in the academy. I would rather play Rhys Healey.

Tony, I saw Healey play a number of times in the development team and I always felt given the right coaching, encouragement, and opportunity he could be a worthwhile option for us in times like this. Trollope gave it the big talk when he was appointed about giving youth a chance. It was a key factor in him getting Bristol Rovers promoted from League Two... so why isn't he getting players like Healey, O'Sullivan, and Tutonda a chance? At least get them on the bench. Instead we've shipped them out on loan... again!

When FFP is such a big restriction on our player recruitment it should be an absolute priority to put loads of attention and focus on youth. Even if the players don't make the grade then we can sell them on for small profits but it all adds up and better than just loaning them out then releasing them year after year.

Re: ' KENNETH ZOHORE '

Thu Sep 29, 2016 7:50 am

I'm sorry but we were angry the other night after leaving that this player even receives any money from us full stop. This is where our loyal season ticket money goes  IMO he should not be on the bench again this season, let alone on the pitch. No offence meant to him personally but he did hardly nothing the whole game and yet manga came on and went up front (who is actually a defender!) and did more in 10 mins than Zohore did in the entire game. He appeared very lazy not chasing anything down, unfit and quite frankly no where near the standard of a championship player. Yes he's young and when he's more developed he may make it as a championship player but at the moment no where near IMO. He's not the only player that lets us down and let's face it we dont get many chances to score so we have to make he most of the chances we make but with him on the field I cannot see a goal coming in a long long time. Just my opinion but I'm no expert!

Re: ' KENNETH ZOHORE '

Thu Sep 29, 2016 9:51 am

The fact that Manga, a defender, can come on up front for 10 mins and have more impact than Zohore did in a whole game tells you everything you need to know about him.

Re: ' KENNETH ZOHORE '

Thu Sep 29, 2016 10:43 am

How can you all say how bad he was? He was living off scraps, like all of our strikers this year, because there were so few chances created for him.

In my opinion, we don't have a lack of talented strikers - what we have is a lack of creative midfield players to make chances for our strikers.

With injuries to our other strikers and no chance of new players until January, we may have to play him regularly for a while, and hurling personal abuse at him and telling him he's useless is not going to help the situation.

He knows he can do better. Trollope knows he can do better. Lets try to help him do that rather tell him he's shit.
