A forum for all things Cardiff City

Not in to knee-jerking but I do agree with the majority that under PT the only thing "we're building here" -his words - is a trip to League 1. He simply has to go.
I also agree with everyone who's saying the style of play is slow, ponderous, predictable, with no pace, no clue, no direction and players even arguing with themselves on the pitch.
Also the players have to look at themselves. There comes a time when professional pride should...for want of a better phrase....take over from managerial tactics when it's clear they aren't working. Even if it means some harsh words in the dressing room after the game, to be humiliated on the pitch then booed off week after week must be soul destroying.
So you take over from Trollope - what's the team you put out?
This is my biggest worry, I honestly couldn't say what my first team and tactics would be with a full squad at your disposal.
I think I'd go:
Amos
Peltier
Morrison
Manga
Declan
Kadeem
Gunnar
O'Keefe
Huws
Noone
Lambert
Play a 4-5-1, have a concern with Declan at Left Back but can't think of anyone else, have Gunnar and O'Keefe snapping at everyone, Huws playing further forward trying to get as close to Lambert as possible to play off him.
I'd also play the wingers in their natural positions - i.e. Noone left and Kadeem right. That would give us at least some pace out wide, and I would also tell them to be on Lambert's shoulder depending which side of the pitch the game is being played, to go after the flick on's.
I admit it's not a world beating side but having had time to reflect on what I've seen this season, this is about as good as it can get.

Hopefully this guy Bennett will be fit after the International break, put him as left back, cos Declan will never be a full back as long as he's got a hole in his arse. Also I know Whitts gets plenty of stick on here, but he is top of the assists for City so he has to be in the team. The number of times he looked forward at the statues in front of him last night was ridiculous. What do they actually do in training through the week? Surely a professional footballer doesn't have to be told to move around into space to make himself available for the ball!
