Do you think that the Muslim faith can truly mix with western culture.
For example in the West we tend to enjoy a drink, women wear short skirts and we don't generally take religion as serious as maybe 100 years ago.

Can Islam and the Western culture live side by side as the best of friends ?

All the Muslims I know and count as friends are not real Muslims in the eyes of the extremists. You would be surprised at the amount of young Muslims who do not give a shit about the "rules" and don't obey Ramadan and drink alcohol.

We do mix with peace, well I can't say all around the world different religions or cultures are completely peaceful. But that's more down to the human being them self than it is to the religion or culture. I mix with anyone. Question is if they belive in something that you don't. will this friendship be strained.

I think religion can be blamed, there are many tainted versions of each practice and It's a prehistoric way of thinking. It's holding back human evolution and has been used as a population control method since the very first civilizations.

Just last week In Peckham I saw about 5/6 Muslim guys hate preaching on the street with a microphone. preaching about the "evil of the white man and western culture" and then some crazy African christian woman started shouting about Jesus Christ and how Muslims don't belong here. And these are suppose to be the self proclaimed god loving, law obeying children of god/Allah. But instead their desperately scampering over each other to get into heaven. But what more can you expect from a sess pit like Peckham and many other London suburbs? These extreme ideologies pray on the dregs of society.

So to answer your question, in some places different cultures will co-exist successfully but there will never be total peace as long as religious ideas are still preached and studied here in the UK. We'll either evolve out of it, or the UK will be in tatters in years to come.
