' EX CARDIFF STRIKER AVAILABLE ON A FREE '

Would you Sign him?

Peter Odemwingie has been a free agent since his release from Stoke at the end of the 15/16 season, and has enjoyed spells at sides like West Bromwich Albion and Cardiff.

Odemwingie is perhaps most known for the infamous transfer deadline day debacle when he turned up at Loftus Road to push through a move to QPR from West Brom, only for it to conspire that West Brom hadn’t agreed a deal to let him go.

Odemwingie impressed at Lokomotiv Moscow to earn a move to Premier League West Brom and impressed reaching double figures in his first 2 seasons.

But his career fell apart when he left unsuccessful spells at Cardiff and Stoke, and spent last season on loan at Bristol City before his release.

God no.
He didn't do much when he was here and that was a couple of years ago now. Way past his best and too old.

he was played upfront on his own and isnt a target man i think had we played him alongside a target man then he would have been a gd signing

Ur ok then let's re-sign him, play him alongside Lambert and have a combined age of 70 up front.

I wonder what level Bothroyd could really perform at now !!?? Even at his age I'd wager he'd still be more effective than Freddie or Zahore as a 20 min sub !!

He'd surely be cheap enough now too

I agree !! I'd rather have a player that has/had talent than a player that will never have it

Not sure tbh, if we could get him on a short term contract till the end of the season with nominal wages that could be increased on appearances and/or goals he could be one to consider if the deal was right

I personally wouldn't have swapped him for Jones when we did, as I think he has something but Malky played him on the wing then as a striker on his own I think he would do a job for us he certainly better that what we have at present
