The drums have been in my opinion helping a lot, because even when you can hear a pin drop they do try and get things going, I've seen the posts slagging them off, I just think you should give Vince and the boys a little credit before jumping on a 'get rid of the drums' bandwagon, just remember they put the effort in to do it as well in such dire circumstances,
Who does like that the drums are down there, and who thinks they should go?

Get more drums and make more noise , might wake everyone up. The only way to stay in this league is to get some atmosphere in the ground , just look at Palace as an example

I prefer without them but have full respect to Vince for trying to help. Switch ends is a better start to improve match day experience.

Those saying get rid are probably sat they're in silence. I'm not a big fan of drums but they're making the best out of a dire situation and full respect to them for trying.

Anyone who's against the drums are f*cking idiots, at least Vince and co are trying to create atmosphere.
All I see is silence, people talking amongst themselves and on their phones.

Agree they trying to get the best out of a bad situation

you should be asking why?
a) the club has made the ground like it is
b) the stewards are assisting the club to make it like it is
c) there is more action and entertainment on phones now you've got sky go and other related sites to watch your football latest scores
d) the shit served up on the pitch
e) less people, less noise
you can bang a drum all you want but the stewarding for city games is far more 'painful' than any wales game down there. As much as they drive me mad, look at palace ultra's, they can push the boundaries as long as they stay in the stands and are effectively not causing problems - it works brilliantly, it provides a fantastic atmosphere and no stewards trying to be 'big I ams'.
When the club sorts its own problems out - of their own making - then you'll see the atmosphere change.

I am not a fan of them but I appreciate that they can lift the atmosphere when it goes flat. And this is when they should be used. However there have been games where it hasn't stopped from kick off to the final whistle so that they lose their effect. On these occasions they can actually kill the atmosphere - such as there is these days. They should be used in moderation and then the crowd are more likely to respond to them.

Took my grandsons on Saturday. The best part of the game for them was the drums and sharing the pizza that was won near us.

The drum doesn't do anything to improve the atmosphere, nothing will in our huge stadium with barely 10k rattling around in it. Our fans aren't shit, our attendances are. It's pretty much impossible to get a good atmosphere in a near empty stadium.

Yes keep them but not constantly through the match. They've obviously improved the atmosphere you can't argue with that, but I do agree that 90 mins of drumming does get a bit annoying. Plus any hope of quiet at HT is ruined by that idiot on the pitch shouting through a Mic.
I reckon the drums are a good way to start the atmosphere for the first 15 mins and if it starts dieing down bring them back in for a couple of minutes. I also think if we're holding on to a lead they're a good way to boost the atmosphere and get the fans behind the team (Last 20 mins against Reading last season were great)
Hopefully though results can pick up and the atmosphere will improve

Stay without a doubt. Most of us would probably not want to have a drum but it is needed at the moment and Vince should be fully commended for this. I remember games just prior to the drum where the silence was just plain odd and as soon as it was brought in, we haven't had the silences since. As said, I fully understand fans who don't like it but I think it does make a difference at the moment. Vince will now have to play the drum after full time to silence the boo boys.

A poster commented earlier on the whining nasal idiot who now spouts off on the mic at half time. Who chooses these people?

Vince would be better off getting a few fans together up there who will start and join in with the singing than using his drum.

I'll agree, give them a microphone instead of the drumsticks,

the problem in regards to atmosphere is that everyone is so spread out theres no way any atmosphere can be generated when your sat on your own disconnected from everyone else in the stadium, they should close a stand and ram ppl in next to eachother
