HAS FAILED TO INSTILL CONFIDENCE IN HIS CARDIFF CITY PLAYERS

PAUL TROLLOPE HAS FAILED TO INSTILL CONFIDENCE IN HIS CARDIFF CITY PLAYERS

By Hayden Ackten

Wednesday 21st September 2016

When you’re a manager whose squad are underperforming, it’s easy for fans to point the finger at the man in charge.

But you can tell by the way the Cardiff lads carry themselves that confidence is seriously low and that’s got to come back to the manager.

Trollopes own captain does not even command the players or shout or inspire the players on the pitch.

Trollope is a good guy who has a promising managerial career ahead but something about him and this group of players isn’t working.

They’re heading in one direction and the club need to make a change.

Totally agree, never a boo boy nor do I overvreact or want managers fired willy nilly. But this guy has to go even if we have little other options. Has to be done asap before we become adrift at the bottom. Trollope out

Seemingly you and a few others haven't considered that it might be the players that are not stepping up to the plate.I wish I had a pound for every time I've read on here"this is a good squad that are under performing so it must be the managers fault".People were saying the same thing when Slade was in charge and Ole before him. I've always maintained that we haven't enough players willing to roll there sleeves up when the going gets tough.Just because a journo writes it doesn't mean its right.

Totally agree with you 100% they simply are t good enough, we lack players for a fight but ultimately its then down to the manager to make a bad bunch at least compete. We have lost Malone and fabio who both didn't feature much with Malone being no more than average. While marshalls exit will have a detrimental effect the way we have been playing wouldn't have made much difference.

Like I said, getting rid might not make any difference but keep Trollope and on what I have seen its one way. I said after the qpr game that's the worst city team in over a decade, before the results started going badly wrong.

Lack of confident players is a major factor at present. Players seem afraid to try to go past a man - they are offloading it sideways or backwards. Also, none of the players seem confident to shoot when they are in range of the goal - they look for a team mate and end up getting snuffed out - hence the opposition keepers are not being tested at all. Lets hope things change very soon.

I never boo after any game, but from the very start of this season it was disturbing that certain key players were performing without confidence: especially Connolly, Ralls and Immers. This has to be attributed to the manager. Now, there are far more players who have 'lost it'. I've got this feeling that Trollope is a coach and not manager, and his motivational skills are lacking.

considering the cost cutting that has happened it seems madness to have gotten rid of slade, especially for this guy.

I have to agree, sacking Slade only made sense if the club actually did what they said they'd do. Everyone thought we were to have an upgrade in personnel and management team.

You only have to read Ken Choo's programme notes in the QPR first home game, the "new beginning" & "the changes to the coaching staff & players that we feel will have significant benefits to our chances on the field",,,to see that the club has been caught well & truly with its pants down, up a creek, & without a paddle.

I doubt KC & his sunshine band really know what to do next!

What's wrong is we concentrating too much on keep ball and not addressing the lack of an end product.

PT is supposed to be an excellent coach. Well prove it by getting this team to score goals :D

Spot on. Although even if they did invest I feel as a club were doomed as long as the 3 blind mice at at the helm. Much like leeds with their wack job owner.

For me its this a club has to run behind the sceans properly from the manager to the owner to the tea lady if this doesn't or isn't happening then it's only a matter of time before it has an effect on the pitch ..
The club has been run at a poor standard for to long now I don't need to start naming all the mistakes there's been a few hasn't there.
At the moment the club seem to be shooting themselves in the foot all the time.
We've been missing a direction on the pitch since malky went now at last we have one it's not working.
The problem is the Welsh way works because we have bale and Ramsey and others in the team that make it work but even this took years to achieve. At city pt has adopted this same way but we haven't the pace of the midfield to hurt teams but it's the Cardiff way it's failing at mo and its backfired.it does matter if it's wrong or it didn't work it was a good idea in principal but now it needs fixing and quick .it's a lot to fix on and off the pitch which for me this has actually always been the Cardiff way it's never been easy for us because we've never made it easy have we .the again need to take a long look at there selves fans are fed up.
We are rock bottom of the league it can get worse we get cut adrift or it gets better we move up the table.either way I am not confident the people running the club are doing a good job not one has football experience or no how they are learning the hard way Tan must see this but because he is chief and people answer to him it just doesn't improve because he ain't no football wiz kid is he.
For me it all has to get sorted behind doors first if we are to be a success.
Tan will never see it as long as he is here .he needs to bring someone in who knows about football and running a club we fail in this department badly and have done for years.

On to pt he has to be given time to change it around but I would 15 /16 games in if no change he has to go .
Then we are back to the idiots who no nothing about football to choose a manager who is expected to take the club forward again it will not work I'm telling you.even if say pulis did come he'd have his hands tied behind his back by yes you guessed it tan and his merry men it's a no win situation unless the system changes
