THE TEAM AREN’T SCORING GOALS
Cardiffffff
By Hayden Ackten
Wednesday 21st September 2016
Six goals in nine games (In all competitions) just isn’t enough and it’s the sort of showing you’d expect from a side rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table.
The signing of Rickie Lambert towards the end of the transfer window will undoubtedly help, but Frédéric Gounongbe and Kenneth Zohore just haven’t been putting the ball away as the season has gotten underway.
It’s going to be a real problem if the trip can’t score and Trollope must face the rap.
Gounongbe and Zohore were both little known signings from Belgium and a lack of English experience has really seen Cardiff struggle.

Easy solution here right footed winger on right side , left footer on left side . Then beat a man and cross instead of going round your man three times then losing the ball.

Or cutting inside 10 yards into the half and crossing

Nail on head. ATM we are doing what is perceived as best for each individual player rather than doing what's best for the team. Noone on the right-hand side is a classic example. He only plays there so he can cut inside and shoot. A couple of times a season that will result in goals the rest of the time it waste procession in the oppositions half.
Time to start working as a team which means getting balls into the box where Lambert and supporting midfielders can finally start putting the chances away.

my thoughts exactly. if he wants to stick with 4-3-3 id go
Amos in goal
peltier and richards fullbacks
manga and morrison (and give these 2 a run in the side. connolly not at it this season)
i think the 3 in the middle has to be Okeefe, immers and huws. show the other 3 performances not good enough.
Ralls been terrible this year so far barring 1 goal, taking whitts out gives lambert the frekicks and i think immers is more attackinbrg that gunner
on the left Noone. i believe hes best here and stops him cutting inside all the time.
on the right Kads. pace and skill
with Rickie up top who i believe will come good.
if also make sure Kennedy is on bench to replace Noone who seems to blow up after 60 mins and continue with pace there or even try Declan further forward at that time if we must

We only have 1 recognisable centre forward purchased on deadline day

. Throwing out Fred after a few games will do wonders for his confidence

It had to happen, but, to start the season with him not ready (or perhaps not good enough) is partly a reason why our points total is so low.

I saw goals tonight...went to support Citeh at Swansea with a pal of mine 2-1 but as with all teams trying to walk it in the back of the net when I just want to see someone smash it into the top corner
