How does the fan base reconnect with Tan?

Sun Sep 18, 2016 8:05 am

I'm wondering what your thoughts are? He's not going anywhere any time soon, but thinking about what Tan wants and why he MAY be dismayed with his investment - if you were in front of him as a group what would you want to hear from him?

I'm new here and supporting the club, but I've followed football since I was a kid, all over the world- discussed with people in Dubai from Japanese embassy's about the J-League etc I live and love football - but from watching from a fence at City for years it does seem that when an owner doesn't do as the fan base wants then the shit hits the fan - Hamman, Risdale and Tan in my life time.

It's not uncommon though look at the furore that came around when West Ham brought in the Iclandics only for the biscuits to crumble in the barrel - even Brown the owner before him was a love hate figure.

I guess what I'm saying is we aren't alone in owners not necessarily living up to expectations- but I think there is a lot to say about a fan base reaching out with an olive branch and trying to work with the club to make the best of an opportunity.

So how would you do it??

Tan ripped the heart out of the club with the rebrand. He reversed it but didn't apologise. Hardcore fans have no respect for him.

Tan no longer cares about the club. The fact that he doesn't attend games proves that.

To me the biggest mistake that Tan has made other than rebrand is not having a football man as chief executive or director of football. The club has had no strategic leadership. When he took over he needed to get control over finances. The academy should have been the priority along with finding cheap talent in lower leagues.

Sadly tan is a complete idiot when it comes to football and I sincerely hope that he cuts his losses and sellls club. Trouble is who wants to buy us in our current state.

Don't care about a distant owner, most clubs owners barely attend games especially foreigners. Tans employed a chairman to run the club, that's the guy who we should be moaning at, not Tan.

That's the way I look at it. TBH it is a blessing VT doesn't attend games he would be too much of a distraction.

I really don't think this is an issue. Instead of moaning about things which happened 4 years ago we should be concentrating on how to get out of the mess we are currently in.

My thoughts exactly, fans are venting at Tan but it's about now and the future not previous history.

Tan will never ever be forgiven by the true Cardiff support. Probably the most hated owner we have ever had, and that's saying something, as we have had some terrible managers :bluebird:

No enthusiasm from either side to reconnect with the other I'm afraid.
