He seems content with us staying in the Championship, your title should be asking if Trollope wants to succeed here.

I reckon this is how it is.

Tan realises that the only way he can get out is to make the club debt free.

He knows that to do that he will have to take a huge financial hit.

He has agreed to write off the debt as soon as he can within FFP rules.

Until then he will cut costs as much as he can.

Once the club is debt free he will offload the club as soon as he can to whoever is willing to take it off his hands.

So does it really matter to Tan which division we are in when we are debt free?

I don't see why it matters if his intention is to get rid as soon as the club is debt free.

So, no I don't think he cares if we succeed because the only thing he cares about is getting the club in a position where he can get rid of it.

Yet another example of Tan's footballing ignorance if that's the case.

Which was the last team to succeed on the sort of budget that we are running on currently?

Bournemouth were heavily bankrolled when they won promotion. They could even afford to take Kenwyne on loan and pay all his wages to help them over the line when they got promoted. :o

Norwich have been heavily backed over the years by long term owners who are local people and have always had the best interests of the club at heart.

Blackpool is probably a fair shout but it's hardly a regular occurrence is it?

Norwich and Bournemouth had league 1 players and went up and didn't we pay half of Kenwynnes wages at Bournemouth?

Norwich and Bournemouth are not in that list at all. Bournemouth spent a considerable amount of money in their promotion season and Norwich have always been well backed. Blackpool and Burnley I would agree with though.

Dare I say it but didn't Swansea go up on quite low funds?
