Hate to say it but it looks like his legs have gone, was happy when we signed him. Held up ball well today, glimpses of quality and he would do ok in a decent team but with our lack of pace and support for the front man he's going to be isolated and that will do him no favours.

Have to agree except I, personally, wasn't very happy with his signing.
He'll score a few no doubt but not the answer by far.

When we signed helgurson he was to add to what we had and this in my opinion is what Ricky could have done, but nothing to add to. Not writing him off, 3 games in a week when not played for so long will hurt but I can't see him being saviour.

Believe he may look better with Immers as attacking midfielder. The only real number 10 attacking midfielder we have and can remember reading when we signed him that plays better with a big target man type as he did with Pelle at PSV. The midfield 3 today all lack pace and the ability to get forward. Immers is good at breaking in that role and getting on the end of lamberts knock downs. Our three were way of pace and the wingers too slow and cut inside too much so inevitably lambert gets no service or crosses that suit him just floaty cut back crap from noone and Jazz (who i thought did ok)

Lambert was the perfect signing given our resources. If you give him chances he scores them, always been his game. Problem is we aren't giving him anything and it must be pissing him off being a spectator for much of the game.

I hope your right, I really do. Your right we do need to give him chances as he's not going to create his own. Still Can't believe today, Craig noone. He for one will not be creating lambert any chances.

Honestly I never showed real sympathy with a City player like I did today with Lambert, to have a player of his qualities and what he showed today was real proper striker hold up play but I can't believe our players couldn't see all game he was winning the battles but didn't wanna play off him or run behind, incredible sympathy because he done what he was expected to do but the others let him down.
