Leeds United FC manager Garry Monk says personal rivalry with Cardiff City "means nothing to me"

Monk has claimed that his previous rivalry with Cardiff City as Swansea manager "mean nothing" to him
The former Swansea City manager is now in charge at Leeds United, who travel to South Wales this weekend to take on Paul Trollope's Bluebirds.
But Monk says he has no lingering emotion about the Swansea City rivalry with Cardiff City and is now focusing purely on his job at Leeds.
The 37-year-old said: "Everything to do with my history and my past means nothing to me.
"It is a different chapter in my life and it's not part of what the players need to know or understand."
Reflecting on his previous battles with Cardiff, Monk said: "It was brilliant and that rivalry was great from both sides.
"But that's gone and it means nothing to me."
Despite no longer being part of a South Wales rivalry, Monk can still expect a frosty reception at Cardiff City Stadium after his decade of service for the Swans.
The Bluebirds have lost just two of their last 19 matches against Leeds, and Monk knows he is in for a tough afternoon on Saturday.
He said: "They have a very experienced squad and Paul is trying to implement his own ideas.
"It is surprising where they are at the moment. It's a very difficult place to go and play, I've experienced it myself as a player."

No Gary it isn’t a difficult place to go and beat us as we have an inept manager with inept ideas who drops players that deserve a start.

I can think of nothing worse than being a Swansea reject. Its a bit like an Orc being thrown out of Mordor for being too ugly.
