A forum for all things Cardiff City

So having been priced out of my family club, now they moved to a tax funded stadium and gone all prawn sandwich- I've decided to switch my allegiances to my local club - at exactly the wrong time it seems but football is football and you take highs with the lows- I've also roped in a few family members and friends (already doing my bit to boost attendances) and actively started putting my two cents in via social media. My question is where do I go when I'm off to games prior to matches? Is there a supporters club or pub? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Cardiff City FC to you and family members who are making the switch!

It's nice to see fans arriving when we aren't doing so well as opposed to being in the premier league for example. It'll take some getting used to if your used to big loud crowds but we are loud passionate fans too. Supporting the city can be a real roller coaster ride and I guess it makes it exciting whether we're at the top pushing for promotion or fighting a relegation battle. We usually park in the stadium on match days as we live 20 mins away so not sure about clubs/pubs etc - I know there's often live music in the canton stand, beers and food etc before matches. Canton itself is usually the place to go prior to matches (Canton vaults?) I'm sure plenty of other fans can advise you on that though mate. Hope you enjoy - are you going to our next home match against Leeds this Saturday! Kick off 12.30?

train into cardiff central then head down to canton is my normal. usually the canton cross or napier is where i tend to head with friends. go to the cross if you fancy a bit of grub with a beer as pretty cheap and allways full of city fans as is most pubs in canton. can either walk or taxi is around £5 which is worth it if theres a few of you and weathers poor.
welcome to the rollercoaster that is supporting cardiff city. plenty of highs and lows. usually a lot nore lows than highs but the lows only make the highs better if you follow regular
would advise not to come onto here after a match if we lose as a lot of negativity here

I will be attending Saturday, I love live football I'm looking into a season ticket at the moment to although I may have to wait til next season but I'm hoping to be at the majority of home games - I'll then look at branching out and going to a few away games. I like a roller coaster it's like a first woman of which I have so maybe I'm a sucker for punishment!
