How long does Trollope have?

Never one to call for a managers head but just after a realistic opinion from others on how long you think Paul will get to turn things around, and I don't say that lightly either because after 7 games I wouldn't expect us to be 21st in the championship even though I did feel we could be in for a long old season it's a poorer start than even I anticipated

As I said I'm not panicking just yet but as its a relatively new position for us in recent times I'm just starting to twitch a little and am thinking well if we are still 21st in 3 games Time that's 10 games in and almost a quarter of the season so when do we call for change? When does the club think of change? 7 games too early? 12 games enough? 15 games enough?

And if there was a change who?

Those familiar with my posts will know I despise Neil warnock but even I think if we give Trollope 15 games and we are struggling still who do we call? Even I would tempted with warnock then

Shocked I've even mentioned war nock ready that back but we all know he's a solid record at this level, personally I'd have stuck with slade on a rolling contract some will disagree but are we playing any better? NO are we far more beatable? YES WOULD WE BE 21st now if slade was here? I DONT ACTUALLY THINK SO

Hard to believe I'm saying that as well but I honestly believe that's the truth I've read a few on here saying we would be worse off cos we've sold players, sold who? Only player that's gone in slades first team is Marshall is it not? You could argue Fabio but he was bit part under slade anway he preferred peltier at RB and Malone at LB the only other real departure from his reign, the likes of mason and Jones had already long gone by his departure so yes I am pretty adamant we wouldn't be sat 21st right low would we have again consigned top half probably not as I do agree with what someone said in that the rest of the division have strengthened and we haven't but I wouldn't feel we would be flirting with relegation all season which may now be the case

I think if we're still in the relegation places by the middle of next month then he's in trouble.

My genuine concern however is who Tan would choose to replace him.

They've made out like this formation is our philosophy and that they've introduced it throughout the youth structure too.

So if they sack trolls good luck finding someone that just wants to come in and play a set formation. It's guna be anothet case of rip it up and start again. This whole 'cardiff way' bullshit is completely flawed. Again more decisions made by the football geniuses on our board

I must say I have the same concerns as you,Trollope is one symptom of a general malaise thats gripping our club right now,if the guilty 3 sacked the manager today,they would replace him with another deadbeat manager in the name of that dreaded word "continuity",the real cure for our malaise is new owners

Whatever people's opinions of his legacy, OGS got dismissed early when we were performing far better than we are now. Trollope will get more time, I'd imagine, but the club needs to be careful not to leave it too late if we are in bad form.

Xmas if we're still struggling

If, what PT was doing was showing some promise, but not quite happening yet, then he should get more time. (but it's not)
If I had the power to do so, I would give him three more games to drop what he is doing with the squad and try something else. (after all, he knows the squad and their limitations well enough by now).
