The sad fact is that at the moment we deserve to be there. We need positive momentum to build starting on Saturday however with little team stability the likelyhood of that is slim to remote.

Too many teams have thought that way over the years and ended up relegated - bigger teams than us also.

Once you get into a downward spiral it can be very difficult to halt and the performances as well as the results this season have been terrible with little evidence that things may improve at any time soon.

If we could see some sort of progress being made then yes, you could possibly feel positive that we would not end up in a relegation battle, but this season so far has the same feeling as other seasons where we have struggled.

You do know it's September and not March don't you? No doubt we will struggle and this season will be a complete write off but there are worse teams than us in this league for sure. Me prediction is we will find enough points through the season to be away from the relegation fight come March. I don't think we will finish much above 17th though.

I like your optimism, and hope you're right. It's just that in a league of 24 with 3 relegated, 17th position is pretty close to a relegation fight.
