Now we have Lambert

Wed Sep 14, 2016 6:02 pm

From what I've seen he needs service and this formation doesn't seem capable of creating that. He isn't going to run the channels but presumably he was signed as he does know where the back of the net is (or did!)

My concern is for Lambert to feed off crosses, we need guys who can find him, and I would suggest the two "best" crossers in the club are Whitts (still) and either Ralls or Pilks. Would anyone be comfortable with those out wide, 3 in the middle getting up to support Lambert as the lone target man?

Early days so not hitting the panic button just yet, but Saturday has already become massive (as if it wasn't already big enough against them!?) and Trollope needs to find a formation that will suit the guys on the pitch. At the moment it seems like he is picking the 3-5-2 and almost saying...adapt as this isn't changing.

Win Saturday and start to gain a bit of consistency, all good. Draw isn't the end of the world, lose and it will really start to look bleak.

I think we'll win though. 2-1 :bluescarf: :bluebird: :ayatollah:
