London papers claim former Swans manager Monk could be shown the door by Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino if they lose at home to Blackburn tonight or even at Cardiff City on Saturday

Garry Monk has left the Swans but unlike when so many other managers have been sacked, Monk's departure has been greeted with real remorse

Former Swansea City manager Garry Monk could lose his job at Leeds United tonight, according to reports.

Monk's side face Blackburn at Elland Road having won just one of their six league matches so far this season.

Despite Monk only being in the Leeds hot seat for eight matches, owner Massimo Cellino is not known for his patience.

The Italian has worked his way through five permanent mangers in just under two seasons and reports in London newspapers claim Monk's position has also come under scrutiny.

Leeds slumped to a 1-0 defeat on Saturday against surprise Championship pace-setters Huddersfield and if they lose to rock-bottom Blackburn the pressure will increase.

Monk told BBC Radio Leeds after the Huddersfield loss: "It's very difficult after games, you're as frustrated as everyone else, you see the work from the players, who don't get fruits of that labour.

"Things are going against us. We have got to hope that turns very quickly.

"Most important is we focus on Blackburn and getting the result we need."

Leeds are due in Cardiff on Saturday to take on Paul Trollope's Bluebirds.

Some geniuses on here were predicting leeds to be strong this year because they'd made some signings. Their more fucked than us it doesn't matter who's in charge the club is run like a circus

Seriously you would have expected the mighty Leeds to have been relegated into Division 1 by now with the amount of times they change management.

Shocking club, shocking fans, I hope we smash them at the weekend.

well if they beat Blackburn (I suspect they will) and do us on Saturday (they may very well get a draw), he'll have a stay of execution!

Don't have a great deal of sympathy for him - he could never resist the opportunity to make a snide dig at City and his comments when Solskjaer got sacked were clueless.

I gotta be honest, I'd thought he would have lasted longer than this. It goes to show, it's not all about the manager! But like others have said, What a great time to play them on Saturday! :bluescarf: :bluebird:

Currently losing 0-2 away to Preston , I wouldn't bet on Monk getting the sack just yet Trollope just might beat him to the door first

How do feel now Sven? You could be in the bottom three come this time tomorrow, and if things don't go to plan (as they very rarely do for you lot) Leeds could have twice as many points as you come Saturday!
Personally i couldn't give two monkeys fvcks what happens to Garry Monk (as do most jacks), but the way you lot set yourselves up for a fall is truly comedy gold considering the position you're in! Will you ever learn? I doubt it! :laughing6:

I've had a guts full of the circus. 35 years I've been going and it's at it's lowest ebb for me. Tan has destroyed the club.

Monk will still be sacked eventually. The trouble is Trollope will go before him.

I knew it was tempting fate this thread and Monk has come and done a job on us
terrible day.
