WINDASS BACKS WINDASS

12/09/16

Rangers are still getting over their 5-1 Old Firm defeat to Celtic on Saturday and have been told they should build their team around summer signing Josh Windass as they recover - by his dad Dean.

The former Hull forward said of his son, recruited from Accrington: "I don't think Rangers have enough legs in their team.

"If you look at guys like Scott Sinclair and James Forrest, Celtic do. In my opinion, there is only Josh and Barrie McKay in the Rangers team are going to unlock the door. They need more than that.

"Give Josh the ball because he has pace and power. In my opinion as a supporter and a dad, he didn't get the ball enough. When he did get on the ball he did something with it."

Having watched the game it only enforces what many think , namely that Scottish football is in serious decline and has been for years. Celtic are at best seriously average, as for Rangers well they looked like a pub team. I sat with a load of Gers fans who said the same.Gone are the days when Scottish "Old Firm" could challenge the top English clubs that is for sure, but it really is a shame to see.

All the SKY money pumped into the English Game has drained the life from Scottish Football, English 3rd tier sides can now outbid Scottish Clubs.
