He'll knock a few in but how the hell can you build a team around a guy that's virtually 35 years old!!?

I don't think he's the saviour, but he's much better than nothing as it was looking that way.

What about Heiðar Helguson only scored 8 goal but he brought alot more to the table, and we were promoted that season, dont have to build the team around him.

He talked about his hold up play, assists, and ability to bring the best out of other players - as well as goals. He also talked about his personality and leadership qualities and how he can help the wider squad to improve. He went back through Lambert's career and said he was never 'explosive' so didn't have a lot of pace to lose, but he has kept himself very fit and also has the hunger and attitude needed to make this contract work for him and the club.
Almost the whole of the press conference (over 17 minutes) is available on the YouTube clip on the club website.

Yeah but we can't really compare this team to that one. We started that season with 10 home wins and signed frazier in January. And also,we were scoring goals from midfield then and throughout the team.
Now the goals have dried up completely so it's almost asif if Lambert doesn't start netting were back to square one. I hope he does but we shouldn't put all our eggs in one basket

Yeah true, he does need to be scoring from the off, and hopefully inspire fred and Zohore, cos I think they will come good, but not without being pushed.

Fred will score goals eventually if hes given opportunities Zahore on the other hand simply isn't anywhere near good enough for the championship.
