' CHRIS GUNTER '

Wednesday 7th September 2016

Chris Gunter has become something of a cult hero for Welsh fans who love his metronomically dependable performances for his country and the passion he wears on his red sleeve every time he pulls on a Wales shirt.

So it was only fitting that those preternatural inventors of glorious terrace chants The Barry Horns dreamt up a song for the defensive rock.

The brass band, a fixture of Wales' international matches, will be hoping their unique twist on the iconic Ghostbusters movie theme will be adopted by the massed ranks of The Red Wall with as much fervour as their brilliant chants of ‘ Hal Robson Kanu ’ to the tune of Salt N Pepa’s ‘Push it’ and ‘Ain’t Nobody like Joe Ledley ’ to Rufus and Chaka Khan’s ‘Ain’t Nobody’.

The band filmed a video of them premiering their Chris Gunter song at the Cardiff City Stadium on Monday night at the opening World Cup qualifier against Moldova and it already appears to have captured the imagination of Wales fans online.
