" COULD THIS BE CARDIFF CITY'S FUTURE STRIKER? "

A Cardiff City striker with a huge future just scored an incredible goal after running the entire length of the pitch

Jamie Bird scored from 30 yards after running the length of the pitch for the Cardiff City development squad

How Cardiff could do with a striker who can do this in the first team!

Having run the length of the pitch and beaten four men, it takes a special talent to have the composure to curl the ball home from 30 yards out.

But that's exactly what development squad striker Jamie Bird did in his side's 4-1 win against Colchester.

Having received the ball on the edge of his own box after an opposition corner, Bird took off down the wing leaving his own team mates and the opponents in his wake as he danced his away around sprawling defenders.

The Cwmbran 18-year-old, who signed a pro contract with the Bluebirds in February, is no stranger to spectacular goals.

He managed this stunning effort just nine seconds from kick off for the under 18's earlier this year.

Definitely one to watch out for in the future.

The last City player do something like that was also called Bird, his name was Ronnie Bird.
The trouble was he would beat the three players or so but then leave the ball behind before he could shoot!
City legend!!

A) we'll release him, saying he wasn't good enough, he'll sign for someone else, and get sold to a top club for a mill or two
B) we lose him to a bigger club.
