It would be my preferred airport to fly from, but unfortunately they either don't fly to the destination I regularly travel to, and on the odd occasion I am going somewhere different, it is nearly always cheaper to go from Bristol. Use to fly from Cardiff regularly years back, but can't remember the last time I used it now.

And how many times over how many years have I heard that. Yet still more and more people are flying from Bristol, and still they don't fly to the destination that I and thousands of other Brits fly to each year.

I'm one of the lucky ones never had to use Bristol used roose twice already this year ! And if went to USA use air lingus easier than going to London , only been once to bristol (dropping off) and check in area is as small as Roose , Bristol will get full and cannot expand so in future there's room for Roose to expand routes bmi already back and more people using it this year and last, it's not all gloom and doom as being portrade by some

Bristol has a huge catchment area

Ok, still sounds a bit expensive, but it seems like people are a bit more willing to pay it now
I think they need to keep doing what they're doing, and maybe continue improving access

I know Bristol has this big catchment area, but when you could fly direct from Cardiff to Sanford you had people from all over the place coming to Cardiff for the flight, including a lot of people from the Midlands, Birmingham in particular. You would'nt say S Wales is exactly in London's catchment area, yet thousands will travel from S Wales to Gatwick or Heathrow to get their flights. I think if Cardiff could attract the right airlines to more destinations at the right price, there is no reason why they can't compete with Bristol.
