Is it better to have the last pint in canton 10 mins before kick off or endure a less appealing pint in the ground before ?

I'm always amazed at the amount of people queuing and drinking that slop before the match and at £4.20 then they must have more money than sense.
I enjoy a couple of beers before the game in Canton but why wait 10 minutes before kick off?
