Rodney Parade

Fri Sep 02, 2016 2:47 pm

As there is no home game tomorrow, I'm thinking of going to Rodney Parade to see how Rhys Healey gets on.

I'm going with my young son and without trying to sound like a wuss, how wet do you get when it rains? Never been to the ground before and heavy rain is expected. Is there a good covered area? Thanks

They have a roof in some parts of the ground, let us know how it went :thumbright: :thumbright:

Healey did not sign for them according to that link, international clearance killed the move

  Thanks all. I will remember not to take a Cardiff City Umbrella or wear our football shirt though! Its my first trip, so I'm looking forwards to it. Hopefully, Rhys will feature!

Rodney Parade has really changed over the past couple of years. The Bisley Stand is a great place to watch the game from and is much better weather proof than the Ninian Stand ;)

Seems they need to put a cover over the pitch now. What a shambles. They had quite a few postponements last season. They must get back to a decent ground/playing surface, or the league will surely savage them. I remember Somerton park was regarded as one of the best playing surfaces in the league. Shame. They must sort this out.

Match abandoned due to heavy rain. Happens regularly at RP.
