SWANSEA 'HAPPY WITH SQUAD'
02/08/16
Huw Jenkins has defended Swansea's close season signings after their transfer policy was criticised in the local media.
Jenkins told the club's website: "We have made seven additions to the squad from last season when you include the return of Nathan Dyer from his loan spell at Leicester City. And the manager is happy with the squad.
"The team has been in transition over the last year or two, with a number of players who have been the bedrock of our success, in first achieving and then maintaining our Premier League status, moving on for different reasons."

Interesting; particularly the bit that says (quote):
"And the manager is happy with the squad"Well, the manager would be, wouldn't he?
Same as Paul Trollope and many other managers who won't dare speak against their Chairman/owner
And that very statement will be brought to the fore should they decide to dismiss the manager when/if the Swans are on a slippery slope midway through the season. It's never the Board's fault, is it?

Can really see them struggling this season under Guidolin. There will be a few nervy twiches come christmas , if they near the bottom of the division. Be very interesting.

Really hope they struggle all season and are relegated by March. Leighton James will be hilarious on call rob!
Personally I think there are more than 3 worse teams than them and they'll end up 14th or 15th but in the words f Keegan I'd love it if they went down

If there are 3 worse teams than Swansea then the difference is minimal. A couple of injuries or squad disagreements could easily see for that.
I would also 'Love it' and their f**king luck has to run out sometime.
